We are cut from the same musical cloth, my brother. I can't tell you how much I admire what you've accomplished! Taught myself flute in 1971 from Tull albums. Had never even heard of a Boehm chart, so just honked on the thing and twiddled with the trill keys until I figured out how to make every note of the upper register. With Ian's overblown style, it didn't matter if the tones weren't pure - in fact, it depended on it. I'd previously played guitar - coming from the early folk era - and had a vocal range and timbre that matched Ian's, so I played most of Tull's material. I performed in a 3-piece that did Nothing Is Easy - using a drum machine - that was freakin' wild! Took a long time to program it - LOL.

If you think this is good check out Andrew tisbert. Andrew also has a band called Attic of Love. Check out a song called Bridge of Lost Desire by Attic of Love. Andrew does dozens of Tull covers. His flute playing is very much like Ian Anderson.
