Hope they make the right choices, don't clutter everything up, make the camera natural or give users options. Get the software right by keeping it simple and mostly stable. But not as simple and lackluster as the launcher. Great build quality and sleek design. Pay attention to little things like good haptics, good microphones and nice speakers. Also get the camera righ (photographer nerd here) don't go crazy on oversharpening or reducing noise way too much. Keep it simple. Colors should be natural and not be oversatured (or give users the choice) exposure also shouldn't balance everything out, soms parts should be alowed to go dark, making a nice natural contrasty look. White balance is also important here. I'd also love seeing a big sensor used for both the 1x and Tele camera. Having a big sensor with a good fast lens on the tele can create some nice depth, Pixel 6 Pro does this well. Also video compression should be a thing, smartphone video is still way too big for the quality of the files. This is definitely not going to happen since the industry decided this but still a notchless screen would be great. For me personally the pop-up of the 7 Pro is great but many selfie shooters don't like it (and the noise of the motor) so I don't think this would work. But having top and bottom bezels just barely thick enough to fit a camera would be better than a punch hole, you can also fit bigger speakers in there.

Unless they have their own isp chip or partner with a camera brand to fine tune. Don't expect camera to be as good as other flagship brand

@@RandomPerson-tz7wk You don't need to partner with a camera manufacturer, Hasselblad, Leica and all the names on other phones is pure marketing. Don't forget the producer of those sensors is Sony, also a camera company. And I don't want the pictures it takes to look like a flagship. The iPhone 13 has nice but also often very unnatural

A flagship might have same soc and camera but the result is different than a flagship even from the same or differentbrand. Because of software and isp. You don't like iPhone and they might not be the best. But the majority of the world prefer them than any other. Which unlike any other China brand have always on filter beautification.

@@RandomPerson-tz7wk In the blind smartphone test the iPhone always gets beat by even low end phones. And I completely understand how ISP's work but that's all tuning. You don't need to have Hasselblad or Leica written on the side of the phone. That's just marketing for 90%. Look at Sony's and Vivo's partnership with Zeiss. That's something meaningful since you get Zeiss glass and coating

If they could make a follow on to the Essential Phone, the Pixel that should have been, I’d be interested. Camera would likely be a sticking point. The camera requires computing wizardry these days, not much dependent on camera hardware.

Why would you want the absolute fastest chip there is? It uses more power and 99% of the time you won't notice the speed difference. Especially if the storage is nice and fast. You will notice the faster battery drain and warmer phone

Samsung did with water proof foldables, which bendable tech was stolen by the Chinese and sold to 5 Chinese companies. Oh, and that Oppo's creaseless foldable... that teardrop hinge tech was one of the rejected (durability issue in the long run) design originally made by Samsung. Too bad, y'all don't get honest real tech news like S. Koreans do.
