Good call Pat. Irrespective on what track it is, if you're not comfortable, best decision is to not do it. And anyone who gives someone a hard time for turning back aren't the people you want to be with when 4WDing. Remember, you also need your vehicles to take you back home. Maybe it's time to rethink your current rig setup if you're going to do more hard wheeling moving forward. From a tourer to a wheeler. Put the 80 on a strict diet. 😁

Good that you took the wise decision. The sad part is I grew up nearby, and we used to drive those tracks in cars and trucks for work cutting timber for pit props for the local underground mines. So, in a way, it makes me sad to see those tracks in the conditions they are , and makes me feel for the rural fire services that have to try and negotiate when called upon .

It baffles me that it still happens in this day and age. Rarely do I camp these days without cleaning up rubbish left by others. ☹☹

With that circlip that came off the Warn 8274 shaft. Circlips are directional & the sharp side of the circlip should go to the side you don't want it to push off. If you look closely at them one side is rounded edges one side is sharp edged. There is a mod for that shaft that stops that from happening.

@ianweal30816 ай бұрын
100% agree. Guy's, you've let down a majority of your viewers I feel, viewers wanting that crap can tune into 24/7. Guy's, you have to ask, 1. Do I really need to go there? 2. Is my vehicle capable of it? 3. Am I capable of it? Screw the embarrassment!! Answer to 1st question was obviously "NO", as no reason to continue. If the obstacle was amidst a must do trail to get to a destination, then question 2 comes into play etc. I've a capable GU tourer set up but I also have the desire to reliably drive it day in & day out, as you guys should be considering as you first priority being so far from home. I'm not a whowser, I've had my fun but not in my every day tourer, had a purpose built Zook for difficult play, easily recovered if all failed, however always drove it out, often with smirks on our dials, haha. Looking forward to your more reserved approach in future episodes. Regards, Wealie.
