I've been off my anxiety medication for a while for various reasons, tried disciplining my mind independently through meditation, etc. Thought I had finally reached a better place and brought my anxiety down to a minimum. Last week I had my first panic attack in a long time. Hit me like a train out of nowhere. It lasted at least an hour, horrible chest pains, crying uncontrollably, couldn't breathe. It was awful. I made an appointment this week to talk to someone and hopefully get back on anxiety meds. I feel incredibly frustrated and saddened by the whole thing, but I am trying to take the right steps to fix it. This song could not have come out at a more precise moment in my life. The lyrics describe exactly what I've been feeling these past few days. Very few artists have been able to strike such a specific chord with me, but Joe's music consistently has for years. Ever since I heard Deadbeat Valentine years ago, your music has provided a sense of catharsis and comfort that compares to none. I just want to thank you for your art. It means the world to me.

Hey man I’m 17 I’ve beat depression and an eating disorder depression, was very hard because I’ve noticed being depressed you believe the sadness more than you believe yourself or others and it’s a harsh cycle simple because you believe you won’t get better and when people tell you what you need to get better you don’t listen and look for relief in the moment oppose to relief in the long run, an easier way to look at it is for example someone may have a problem with excessive eating and they want to stop but they’re living in the moment so right now eating more sounds more pleasurable, right now being sad and wanting others to assure you is more pleasurable than taking the advice and taking a step to help yourself, right now being sad is more pleasurable then starting to tell yourself positive things and stopping the negative thoughts in their tracks because you don’t feel comfortable trying to get better you feel comfortable being sad so since you make no moves to step out of your comfort zone or not enough moves it continues to be a harsh cycle. CHANGE REQUIRES BEING UNCOMFORTABLE CHANGE REQUIRES NOT DOING WHAT YOU KNOW WILL HURT YOU EVEN IF EVERYTHING IN YOUR HEAD IS TELLING YOU TO DO IT CHANGE ISNT EASY NOW BUT ONCE YOU EMBRACE IT YOU LEARN IT WAS NEVER COMPLICATED!!! EVERYTHING YOU TELL YOURSELF REALLY MATTERS WHAT YOU TELL YOURSELF FORMS YOUR BELIEFS YOUR BELIEFS FORM YOUR ACTIONS YOUR ACTIONS FORM YOUR FEELINGS YOU ARE WHO YOU ARE BECAUSE OF THE THOUGHTS YOU THINK!!! YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU DREAM ESPECIALLY IF SOMEONE IN HISTORY HAS DONE IT SO LONG AS YOU THINK THE RIGHT POSITIVE THINGS PUSH YOURSELF FUCKING DONIT YOURE RIGHT THERE YOURE INFINITE YOURE LIMITLESS DONT SET A BAR FOR YOURSELF THAT WAS TRULY NEVER DARE COME ON MAN EVERYONE LOVES YOU I LOVE YOU IF YOU HURT YOURSELF YOU HURT BILLIONS IF EVERYTHING MATTERS IF YOU HURT ONE PERSON YOU HURT THEIR FRIENDS THEIR FAMILY AND SO ON AND THAT NEVER STOPS THE EFFECTS OF YOUR PERSON IS BIGGER THAN YOU PROBABLY KNOW LITERALLY EVERYONE MATTERS NOBODY LEAVES THIS EARTH HAVING NOT THEORETICALLY MATTERED I LOVE YOU PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I KNOW YOURE GONNA BEAT IT INSTEAD IF SAYING MAYBE SAY I KNOW EVERY WORD EVERY THOUGHT IT MAKES YOU it makes YOUUUUUUUUU

I found NN at a really rough time in my personal life. I started therapy again, began writing again. Got back into community service and reconnecting with people, old and new. Still struggle but I know I'll be alright. I normally don't even comment on shi× but I felt like this was a good opportunity to share how our experience may be relevant. Keep going and hold your head high! Don't forget you're royal and have great power. Use it for good and the universe will bless you.
