I have been looking for this type of notion formula like list, at(), index, and current. Thank you

Do you have a notion sample of this lecture ?

Because you asked nicely, here is a template that you can duplicate that has everything described in the video rayclark.notion.site/Show-Top-5-Numbers-in-Relation-33436361c2a34a1f843d4505bdc342a9?pvs=4 @@taekyunlim9185

I see that in all videos we have to work with two databases and relate them to work with arrays. Can't we create an array without 2 databases?

For example, if I have a List of contracts and their signed dates. Is it possible to create a formula that assigns each row their number in the rank?

That is correct. Some formula functions only work when there is a relation involved. Arrays are tied to a single database property and that is why a relation is necessary to manipulate database entries in bulk.

I don't think you could create an automatic or responsive way to do that in a singular database. I think that is why filters, sorts, and grouping exist so that we don't need to rely on a formula property to do so. "Ranking" implies comparison to other database entries, which means that a relation is required to compare itself to the other database entries. You could relate it to itself, but every other entry in that database would need to be connected to it for it to be useful. Even then, you would only be able to reference a singular entry within that database to "see" the formula you setup and show a meaningful output.
