love this tutorial! i think the hardest part is the "putting it all together" section where you figure out how to best represent all of the databases/structures you just created. do you have any metrics/measurements you tend to adhere to when creating the dashboard (ie spacing, specific database views, etc)

I did fine following along and copying everything into my own until I got to adding the Reading Goal. For some reason, when I mark a book as finished in the reading log it won't update in the Goal tracker at all. I've paused the video practically second by second to see if I missed anything and I am 100% sure I did it all exactly like you show. Any idea what I might have missed? So frustrating. :(

The template is beautiful, just leave it like this 🤡 for not reading "free template" and since I don't speak English (I'm using a translator) I went to the link and since I didn't understand what it said I thought I was selling it and then I literally started following the video as a tutorial and when the last thing I was missing was the hearts bar (which I left for last) and since the code didn't work I came back here in the hope of finding the code to copy and paste and I go back to the link to look for the code and there I see that it could be downloaded for free 😭 But hey, at least now I understand better how notion works.😸

If this helps anyone: I was struggling with the progress bar formula, and realized I didn't have the zeros populating in the "Percentage Complete" column. So, I had to adjust that formula a bit until I got the zeros to populate. Then the heart emojis in the progress bar populated for me. Hope this helps.

I don't know if you already fixed the problem but to solve it: the rollup is probably set to "Show Original" try setting it to "Count all". The steps are: Right click on "Actual">Edit property>Calculate>Count>Count all

I won’t be able to help without seeing your formula unfortunately but I would try checking if there’s correct number of brackets / checking if the right property is selected! Sometime I need a comma and it’s all 🙉, takes a few tries!

Hey! It sounds like there might be a hiccup with the categories. Have you made sure the categories have been created in the categories table? That might be the key to getting the book count to show up. Hope that helps!
