Glad you're enjoying their stuff! All the songs 2008 and before were originally sung by 5 people. 3 of the members left and the group restarted as a duo in 2011. Their post 2011 stuff is more experimental when it comes to the music genres they use in songs. The parts they use for Rising Sun and O.Jung.Ban.Hap do sound very similar but the songs themselves are very different! Guy in black (U-Know Yunho) is born in February 1986 he just turned 38 last week and guy in white (Max Changmin) is born in February 1988 he'll turn 36 on the 18th.

I remember when TVXQ when they debuted and fell in love with their song Hug. They also have an English version too. It's still on my playlist btw I was 18 same age as them. There was originally 5 of them between the ages 16-18 years old.

Btw the Song Rising Sun was also when the movie Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift came out. When I saw the movie in theatres I was so happy to see this song was in the movie and I also fell in love with the Teriyaki Boys song Tokyo Drift as well.

Hahaha.. I know purple line lyric is funny once I understand English better. But it's actually a metaphor. Purple line is a metaphor of twilight that you see at sunset. Behind that line there is the ideal version/the best version of them. So they are trying to be that best version or want to reach that level. That line is unapologetically ridiculous but deep at the same time. 😂

Aww I know R&B isn’t everyones favorite. It was endearing that they sang something you could connect with (Rising Sun). This is so nostalgic to me and I got into them when they were well into adulthood lol But it's likely because their earlier songs are reminiscent of the '90s-'00s when I grew up

Thank you for reacting to TVXQ!! On Purple Line, that line "I really wanna touch myself" was supposedly something like "I wanna be in touch with my self" and the meaning just got lost along the way upon translation hahah or at least that's what I heard/read somewhere. Do correct me if I'm wrong hahah Otherwise, so glad you enjoyed their songs 😊🥰 I love watching kpop fans "rediscover" TVXQ

They tried to have the lyrics changed at the time but weren't heard, that's how we ended up with that line 😂 Knowing Changmin's type of humor I'm pretty sure he revels in singing it 😅

Eh, they favored Jaejoong and Junsu a bit in the line distribution, but everyone sang 🤔 Yoochun was a bit of a mixed bag (his vocal range was all over in a mostly good way), and Changmin and Yunho covered the top and bottom harmonies. Yunho probably had the fewest lines, but he did more rap and dancing. I’m a Cassie since the beginning. Good times.
