This was a great game, it wasn't at all certain who will win until the end. I'm the weakest player in my chess playing family, I even lose too often for comfort against my 12 year old daughter. My wife likes to make fun of me, tells me I should maybe take up stamp collecting instead. But I love the game and it's always satisfying to watch others play and wipe the floor with someone who appears maybe a bit too sure of themselves.

If u are losing to a 12 yr old ur probably dumb unless she is some sort of prodigy at Mensa, it's only at the high levels that chess becomes a game of memory.
@mikethespike7579 Жыл бұрын
@@rmac3217 Of course! It must be because I'm dumb! Why didn't I think of that? You do know that most 12 year olds can wipe most adults from the table when it comes to games involving memory. In fact even five year olds can do that in simple games without breaking a sweat.

I'm not a strong chess player, but at 3:00 why didn't he play b4 to kick the knight away? To me, that's a No. 1 candidate move. That knight was way too powerful on that square c5 and eventually that knight had cost him the game in my view. So, I really don't get why he didn't play b4. Maybe I miss something, or maybe he's not that strong of a player, just like me.

@manuterioh2 жыл бұрын
I think this is like a non-written rule. People who moves pieces with one hand and clock with the other are seen as a tricksters or just noobs, but in Mike's case is totally acceptable, because rules usually have excemptions.

Hustling is more about psychological manipulation than it is about the game itself. So yeah, they likely do. Or they have some other way of making you question what you are doing and distracting you from the game.
