NotPetya was not ransomware right?
@andrewbagrin4874 жыл бұрын
It was a Ransomware that spread as a worm. The worm exploited a vulnerability. It was a combination of a worm and Ransomware. This is why it was called a ransomworm. The fact that you didn't need user intervention for it to spread, made it extremely powerful.

It was wiper malware, actually

@@andrewbagrin487 hello, first of all, it was wiper malware, second of all, ransomworms don't exist, they are called cryptoworms, which petya wasn't, because it wasn't ransomware, however wannacry was a cryptoworm, god cryptoworms always seem to have a design flaw, if petya was though, with wannacry not being able to tell who paid, and petya just putting 0s all over youre files, sounds to much like wiper malware

@@OmniNETinc yeah I was learning about the situation and a lot of speculation was that it originated from the GRU unit within the Russian military as an attack that’s scope was originally supposed to be just Ukraine that spilled out further as a result of the violent efficiency of the worm. Interesting video though into the mechanics of the attack though, very informative!

2 different stats. 48% of all traffic is bots. So 52% is not bot (human initiated). On top of that, all web traffic (usually initiated by humans) contains quite a bit of advertising. 68%
