Carr's throws were all quick and decisive. He has the best release between the 3 QBs. He looks so comfortable.

Once Riley gets back, I’m thinking CJ Carr needs the backup reps. After watching all 3, Angeli is taking reps from higher upside QBs

Great cast, good take on the Spring Game (which, having watched it a few times with others, we all agreed was pretty informative about some players, but otherwise was about the Coaching staff's poker strategy 5 months ahead of the A&M game with stress on lower contact passing game and pocket management). I, like Luke, have not been supportive of G. Payne, and suggested he might be a good candidate for the portal. I will admit this was not borne out by what showed up on the B&G game. To be sure, as you suggested, what happens there can be indicative - or not. But if he really DID have some sort of breakout in Spring Practice, maybe we were wrong and its just a change in him or the OC. Either way, I am prepared to be wrong - he and Williams were the most impressive inside runners... Better than Love, but where will we get the trimming of the numbers, then, to get down to 85 given the issues we still have? Issues: punter, and really - the Offensive line. I don't care what you have for stacked backs and wideouts IFF you don't have some semblance of an O-L. We don't, based on what we watched. One decent Center and Spindler, (maybe Schrauth, but he didn't have a great game) otherwise... but of course the B&G game can be deceiving, and the defensive raw talent (a huge portion of which _wasn't_even_on_display!_) was, frankly, beyond any expectation even with the (albeit ancient) experience in recruiting in the room we had. There is little question based on what we saw and what we know, that this is the best _defensive_ squad overall talent we could remember in more than a decade, maybe more than two. There is, unfortunately also the perception that the offensive talent is excellent, where it is, but number/quality distribution is poor so it is like a car that doesn't come with any seats installed. If anyone can make that work, its probably Denbrock. We will See. Go Irish!

Excellent episode as usual! One person I was surprised not mentioned (hard to get to everyone of course makes sense), Jack Larsen. He’s a 4th TE potentially and he looked like he’s been the re for a bit. Very impressive both receiving and blocking. Great episode Tyler! Go Irish ☘️

Larsen is nasty, top 4 or 5 TE in the 24' cycle in my estimation. He was ranked a top 50 player way back when he 1st committed. You know how they do our Irish commits.. 🤷🏽♂️☘️

@@YoYoMaWhatItDo oh for sure. And he showed that in this game. It is what it is… he will make the rankings looks stupid in time. I’m very excited. My personal note… not worried about the oline. I thought it was very good and I think when you put the best 5 together it’s going to be very good and dominate most if not all the dlines they will see. Most dlines won’t be as dominant as the dline they will see everyday in practice. Iron sharpens iron.

Yeah he had 4 catches. I think he just has a knack of getting open. I wouldn't be surprised if he catches some balls this season.

All those services that downgraded CJ Carr from a five-star to a four-star look like idiots now.

Anyone who pays strict attention to these "star" ratings is also an idiot. Just saying. Go Irish
