Unc shouldn't of even had 32... the DBs can't be letting up 50+ yard pass plays that result in TD. The score doesn't really do the game any justice. ND dominated and had control all game long. Offense looked good, but it was against one of the worst defenses. It was definitely a good confidence booster for the players! Oline and Dline played amazing. Just need to have a good week of practice and get DBs better. I could see this team winning out and going 10-2. Clemson and USC will be tough but if ND can play up to their abilities, they'll be fine.

@@byronphillips1119 the worst defense in college football may be overstating it a little bit. They don't have a very good defense but they definitely don't have the worst defense in college football. Notre Dame had a very good offensive game plan to mix the run and pass game until the 4th when the UNC defense was beat and let our offensive line and 230 lb bulldoze and dominate. We executed our game plan and this game was not as close as the score board suggests.

Don't think so. But Drew Pyne is a massive improvement over Buckner, and the line is performing better. Could be undefeated at this point if both of those were in place from Game 1. Still a LOT of improving needs to be done. Clemson and USC, possibly one other team will get the best of ND yet.

@@Aaron-rv1si Missing Jarrett Patterson from the O-Line really hurt us the first two games. I think with him around running the ball will get easier and we’ll have more holes for Estime to charge through like we did today against other teams we’ll be playing down the road. And Pyne was sacked a lot less this week and seemed to have a lot of time to make the right play down the field. Speaking on Pyne, he reminds me a lot of Ian Book, which is a great thing. He could be the starter for the next two years if he keeps improving and making the right throw downfield.

Heels play hard but kinda came unglued with the penalties. A couple bad ones thanks to the refs. Maye looked like a redshirt freshman today. Overall the kids put up a good effort. Notre Dame was the better team. The defense continues to be the Achilles heel . Playing 10 yards off the ball wasn't very rewarding. Hopefully the Heels bounce back next week. Go Heels!

Irish O line was very much improved yesterday. im think there was only 1motion penalty instead of 4 or 5. more disciplined. Estame's final td shpuld have counted; the ball was in his possession when it crossed the plane of the goal line. the ball came loose after the ball crossed the plane...NC lost control of themselves. terrible to watch the complete lack of disciplne by NC players. that's on the coaching staff. Irish definitely need to find a way to stop the opposing qb runs; they give up way too many rushing yards to the oppsing QB. Clemson will destroy them with their running QB

I feel like so many people are confused by how preseason rankings work. For the most part, they show respect to teams that were seeded following the bowl games (exceptions being Group of 5 teams, which sucks but unless they’re not losing anyone it makes sense). Obviously with it being college football players move on. Sometimes a team will lose super important pieces and unless your Alabama/Ohio State you don’t always have the bounce back that’s expected. So yeah, what happened to ND, USC and North Carolina seems like a mistake but it’s really not. Comes down to recruiting and coaching of fresh talent. When it’s all said and done: Recruiting Class=Results
