I am reminded of the French film which took place in the mid 1950s when Pierre Mendes France was in charge and a group of teenagers in a cafe were listening to some older men debating WHO could LEAD FRANCE? To which they remark to each other "Well we could always bring back Le Merchel ! ( who was probably dead by then but it was highly entertaining.)

Why the Americans (specifically Mr Trump who so far is a nobody), received such a special place in an European event ? They didn’t even contribute to the reconstruction. No Mr Trump (who claims to be a billionaire) nor Mr Musk. They don’t deserve more attention than European politicians and monarchs. It was very upsetting to see that.

The work on Notre Dame's structure is incredible. But it's white, like a Protestant church. It needs colour like a true Catholic church. Sadly the secular element has been allowed in and it's not a secular building.
