It's almost stunning that a tandem of backs as good as Love and Price get skipped "because IU is second in yards per rush." As if that magically neutralizes Love and the OL. Pretty sure that's not an adjusted stat either, which means you're rewarded for stacking stats vs cupcakes.

A few points of clarification here ... 1) GIFT #1: IU not only fumbled a snap on a punt, but that snap was actually fumbled IN THE RAIN on the 5 YARD LINE! 2) GIFT #2: That punt return for a TD by OSU happened when CIg wanted the punt to go to the right but was kicked to the left. 3) GIFT #3: That last TD by OSU was made possible on a very short field after IU botched an onside kick that went out of bounds. As an IU fan, I'd actually like to see IU play OSU again on a neutral field.

@@Dmob17 I'm not optimistic ... IU is not a big play team and I doubt their ability to come back against a physical team if they go down 10 pts ... but I just hope the weather is stable ... and I remember my dad taking me to see ND blow out OK in 1966 ... back then that stadium only held 60K ... but what is the seating capacity now? ... 80k, right?

@@douglascarlson9006 just under 80k. But honestly ND fans are so bad about selling their tickets to visiting fans. There will be plenty of red in the stadium, don’t worry. My concern for the Irish is how depleted we are. Injuries have been a major issue for us this year. @ if Indiana can force Notre dame to throw the ball, we’re in big trouble. Also, USC used it against ND, but I don’t know why more teams don’t call screen plays more often against Notre Dame. We’ve been vulnerable to the screen every game. We blitz so much that the screen is also there. I see Indiana forcing ND to throw and then utilizing the screen against them to great success. I was really hoping to get a team from the south up to Indiana in December but that’s all nullified against IU. Could see the Irish’s playoff run end early this year. Honestly the way I see it, even if we do win, the next game is against Georgia, and there’s no way ND is winning that game, so it’s essentially just a game to see who gets to lose to the eventual national champ 😂

All respect to these guys but I think they kept harping on IU’s run defense. “Make Riley beats us with his arm” is the same philosophy most teams tried against after the NIU loss. ND’s run game is the foundation of their offense. You want to fight in a phone booth? Fine. They done that against A&M, Army, Navy, and arguably Georgia Tech. ND needs to establish the run early. If they do that, they will win the game. IU’s offense is okay. ND’s defense is elite. If your plan is to run the ball, ND will win. If you want to throw, QB needs to get the ball out quickly because ND stunts almost every play. This will be a fun in-state game but ND will get the W at the end of the day.

Notre Dame stadium isn't that loud, especially compared to the shoe. IU has a lot of wealthy alumni, and South Bend locals/Notre Dame "fans" love to flip tickets for cash. There will probably be more red in the stadium than you'd expect. Crowd noise should be the last thing IU is worrying about. Al Golden loves to blitz, and Indiana really got behind against Ohio State when consistent pressure was brought. Can IU's OL hold up against Notre Dame's front 7 is what will determine the game. The two times IU has played against teams with top tier fronts, they haven't looked great.

With all due respect, I don't mean to keep picking on you guys and I mean, I tried really hard not to comment this time, but your lack of research and knowledge just make you look Ignorant at times, so you leave me no choice! For starters, have you ever heard of Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price? They are arguably the most talented and best backfield in all of college football!! Yes, that includes being better then Ohio States backfield! Ohio States backfield is the more popular backfield based on name! However, based on facts, stats, truth and actual evidence, Notre Dame has the better backfield and that isn't even including Riley Leonard, who is one of the best running quarterbacks in the entire nation! Notre Dames 3 headed monster element, along with a very good and physical offensive line, that is yes, better then Ohio States, makes Notre Dame very dangerous! Once again, this is all based off of facts and truth over bias feelings! I will admit, Ohio State has better receivers then Notre Dame, but Ohio State has better receivers then just about anyone in the nation! However, Notre Dame has the better tight ends, the better offensive line, arguably the better defense, but it is close and yes as good as Ohio States backfield is, I would take Notre Dames backfield over Ohio States any day of the week! Ohio State's backfield might be more popular from a name standpoint, but not form a stats or even eye test standpoint! Here is some actual proof of evidence! Ohio States backfield of Quinshon Judkins ran for a total of 805 yards on the season and an average of 5.5 yards per carry and 8 tds! Treveyon Henderson ran for a total of 751 yards on the season and an average of 7.0 yards per carry and 6 tds! If you combine both running backs together that gives them a grand total of 1,556 rushing yards on the season and 14 total touchdowns combined! Now, lets look at Notre Dames backfield combo of Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price! Jeremiyah Love ran for a total of 949 yards on the season and an awesome average of 7.1 yards per carry and a whopping 15 tds on the season, along with tons of amazing highlight runs on film! Jadarian Price only carried the ball 89 times on the season, but ran for 651 yards on the season and an amazing 7.3 yards per carry and 7 tds, along with a bunch of breakaway highlight reel touchdown runs! If you combine both of Notre Dames running backs together that gives them a grand total of 1,600 rushing yards on the season and 22 total touchdowns on the season! So, Notre Dames running back tandem ran for more total yards on the season then Ohio States running back tandem! Also, Notre Dames running back tandem had a better yards per carry average then Ohio States backfield tandem and lastly, Notre Dame's backfield had more total touchdowns on the season then Ohio States backfield tandem! Nothing else needs to be said, other then that isn't even including Notre Dame's other biggest rushing weapon in quarterback Riley Leonard! As another rushing threat, Notre Dames quarterback Riley Leonard adds another 721 total rushing yards on the season, along with a 5.8 yards per carry average and a whopping 14 rushing touchdowns! Just facts! From a defensive standpoint, it is debatable who has the better defense between Notre Dame and Ohio State! It is close either way, but we can all admit that both defenses are really good and are top 10 to 5ish defenses in the entire nation! One more correction, you guys ask who has Notre dame beat on their schedule? I am not saying it is the toughest schedule in the world, but to be fair it is much tougher then Indiana's schedule and Notre Dame often gets unfairly critiqued over their schedule because even though the schedule isn't a juggernaut schedule, it is still much more difficult then what the media gives them credit for and I will once again, use facts to back up my point! For starters, Notre Dame beat 4 ranked teams to Indiana's 0! Also, you guys stated that from a record standpoint, an 8-4 Texas A&M team was Notre Dames best victory! Now, even though beating a good ranked SEC team on the road, in a hostile environment, to start the season was an impressive victory, it still wasn't Notre Dames best victory from a pure record standpoint! You guys left out the fact that Notre Dame beat a ranked 11-1 Army team, that won 11 games on the year and they won their conference, while finishing undefeated in their conference! Notre Dame was the only team on the year to give Army a loss! There is a big difference between Notre Dame and Indiana's schedule/resume! Notre Dame played a grand total of 8 teams on their schedule with at least 6 wins or better and are going bowling! Notre Dame beat 7 teams on their schedule with at least 6 wins or better and 5 of those teams has at least 8 wins or better! Doesn't sound like a weak schedule to me! On top of that, I am not even counting their 1 single loss to NIU, who even though everyone wants to beat up Notre Dame for losing to them, NIU is still a 7 win team and bowl bound! So, even though NIU was a bad loss, they aren't a terrible team! On the other hand, Indiana beat 0 ranked teams and they played only 4 teams with at least 6 wins or better and they lost to one of those four teams! On top of that, IU lost to the only ranked team they played on the year! SO, the fact that you guys even act like their schedules/records are close and comparable is just lazy, Ignorant and foolish! It really isn't close from that standpoint! I believe Notre Dame is the better football team, but we will see on December 20th! All I am saying is, get the facts straight! Oh and you are right Notre Dame isn't Ohio State, Notre Dame is better! Go Irish! God Bless you all!!!

Genuine question coming from a guy who played a bit but isn't a big football fan, could the botched special teams thing come from a lack of trust in your blocking? Seems punter was sped up and seems likely that notoriously good football schools might have the biggest advantage in the "freak of nautre", "can't be taught" athlete types vs skill players. I feel like IU's o-line is liable to straight up lose a handful of downs to legacy programs

ND, 13 sacks allowed all season, National Rank #24 and 224.8 average rushing yards a game ranked #10 while playing 5 teams that rank in the top 50 for rushing yards against. I think the OL is very fine. Meanwhile Ohio State ran for 116 yards against IU and averages 169 yards a game ranked 59th in the country in rushing. Indiana didn't play a single team whose top 50 in rushing and only 2 teams in the top 100 in rushing and lost one game and nearly lost the other to those two teams. Indiana's run defense as #1 is a complete joke since they didn't play a single good running team all year. ND will run for 200+ yards with that small OL.

Indiana beat one team with a winning record, Michigan at 7-5. That was also their closest win of the year, 5 points, also at home. ND has a horrendous loss, but also beat 6 teams with winning records, the closest being 7 points to Louisville, and the other 5 by an average of 25 points. @donaldshotts4429 OSU had maybe the best WR group and a beastly RB duo. Their o line lost two starters coming in to the game and 1 in the game. Which hurts the playmakers. Their QB is not very good in the passing game generally and has trouble getting the ball to his playmakers. OSU is very good on defense. Offense is another story, and coaching remains to be seen. It doesn't matter what it was at half time. Only the final score. I hate OSU. I was rooting for IU. However, the second half usually shows us the difference between good, very good and great teams.

@@ndgoldrush2 They beat us fair and square. We have a bunch of 22-24 year old starters, but playing at James Madison is just a wee bit different then Columbus. We weren't picking up blitzes etc with the noise, but I still say we weren't physically overwhelmed, especially on defense. How ND compares or if IU learns remains to be seen. And Howard on OS? He reminded me a lot of Leonard before, but now he doesn't run? I cap CFB and I saw Leonard a lot at Duke. Better runner then passer imo, but maybe he's improved. Def a gutsy QB and his running is a concern. He's only thrown for 200+ 4 times though. I like IUs chances if the game comes down to a lot of 3rd 7s
