Yeah, but then again I feel like FNaF never goes for the "easy route." Oh, an animatronic who peices itself together just to steal identities to fit in, then is shown being released into the wild? Of course that's the most obvious cadidate for the mimic. Scott always goes for an almost comedic level of subversion, like "nope, it was, uhh, El Chip! Yup! It was him the entire time!"

Baby’s personality is directly and inadvertently affected by the spirit of the innocent girl she killed after the events of her plan in SL, as established by Michael, and Molten becomes physically representative of the furious and erratic souls of the MCI taking on a form reminiscent of the FNAF3 bad ending. Not to mention the very intriguing connections he has to Crying Child. Far as I’m concerned, the Funtimes and the Ennard design are an acceptable loss compared to the considerably more interesting symbolism and significance of Molten.

As big as a pain the ass Elizabeth/Baby was, she wasn't lying when she said that Ennard would be lost without her because like the timestamp says: it was all downhill from the moment Funtime Freddy took the wheel. Not only was he the strongest of them all because he had absolutely no connection to Circus Baby in his blueprints, he was the strongest of the remaining parts of Ennard because he was the most aggressive and the most sadistic of them all. Yeah, Baby is a Master Manipulator with her own sadism but she's more of a behind the scenes sort of evil. A Puppet Master. Funtime Freddy is in the field like King Von and Baby Kia and a bigger CrashOut than them combined. He is overjoyed to be Free and batshit insane. Molten Freddy isn't a downgrade to him. It's a dream come true and now that they're in the Sewers, who needs to look humanoid? Who needs to go back to the form where That Damned Pest who is the daughter of their longtime torturer/Warden had all the Power? Freedom means just that: FREEDOM. And since Ballora and Foxy weren't strong enough to take him down or to survive on their own, they were stuck with him. And really, being Stuck with Freddy was better than having to deal with That Damned Pest or The Facility all of the time. The Pizzeria Sim Fire Freed them. It makes me wonder what could've happened if Ballora or Foxy had managed to subdue Freddy or had split into their own Scrap Forms for Pizzeria Simulator, especially if they got to expand and reveal their personalities like they did in UCN. Oh, well. That's what fangames and fanfic are for, I guess. The Mimic is better than William Afton coming back YET AGAIN but it's no Ennard. It's like Ennard from TEMU. Maybe I'd feel differently if The Mimic was introduced mainly in the games like Ennard was but it's too late for that to happen. Again, that's what fangames and fanfics are for. All of that being said, I'm glad that The Mimic's has led to Ennard getting their Flowers from FNAF fans old and new. As for The Blob/Tangle? It's either fueled by just Agony or Agony plus Funtime Freddy's madness.

Nah, it was definitely Sister Location. lol The experiment room alone is the most bafflingly pointless addition that Scott has ever made, and we still don’t know what purpose it even has in the grander scheme. As far as the lore goes, it’s been the Mimic show ever since Help Wanted, the beginning of the new era. The villains haven’t been flip flopping. There was just one particularly badly handled game that set back fandom discussion for a whole year that we’re still picking up the pieces over. SB was the SL of the new era.

Okay, wasn't expecting this many replies, what I meant from villains flip-flopping was we started with William Afton, then we had Baby, then Ennard, then William Afton again, then Glitchtrap (which was just William Afton or a copy of him) then Vanny, then Mimic and now Jackie (which might just be Mimic anyways). That's not including people saying Glitchtrap is the Mimic or even getting in the books which I think besides the epilogue stories had a sort of villain of the episode thing going. So yeah, this is why I think the villains flip flop and that'swhen we even know who's-who (again referring to the whole Glitchtrap mimic identity thing).

Honestly ennard would’ve been so good as a villain in a security breach style game. Way smaller but still with some free roam. More like ruin, ennard can crawl on ceilings and walls and is pretty fast when doing so. Along with a pretty eerie design. Not to mention they’re intelligent and bloodthirsty. Imagine being in a small facility with ennard after you. Ennard copies voices of some other Charachters it killed(maybe Charachters that are with the main charachter at that start). And you have to try and escape and get around with this gross wire creature who’s always one step ahead on you and won’t stop going after you. They don’t stop at 6AM, they’ll chase after you until it’s destroyed.

Same, especially considering Funtime Foxy only has the ability to basically record and then play-back the voices of _specifically_ parents. Funtime Foxy would've had to heard Elizabeth saying all that manipulative BS back when she was alive for Ennard to have the ability to play those lines back to Micheal (which... who would Elizabeth be talking to like that if not to Micheal? And why would she be saying those things while alive?) but also Elizabeth obviously is a child's voice, not an adult, so it doesn't make sense as to why Funtime Foxy would've recorded her voice in the first place.

I don't really think so. Circus Baby, at the time, refers to Elizabeth as someone else. She/her. So, to have Circus Baby just suddenly pull Elizabeth up on the mic and have her say exactly what she wants her to say, "See, I'm here? Now open the door!" is very suspect. It's Ennard plying at Michael's heartstrings. And Funtime Foxy has a 'voice sync'. It can replay voices, but it can also sync up its voice to match the parents' own.

I think the reason why Molten Freddy is just cables is because that was what Ennard became when vomitet out by Mike. They coulndt fit the Endo the cables where wraped around inside Mike, so JUST the cables went in. Then those cables where vomitet out and Babys cables where ejectet, who than probably yoused that Endo back at Afton Robotics to build herself up again, while Ennard/Molten freddy stayed just cables

I still believe that Tangle from FNaF-SB and RUIN is some kind of mutated successor of Ennard. it would perfectly explain where the funtime parts come from: they were collected by Ennard and kept by Pre-Tangle, then Tangle found out about the old locations and dug his way into Fazbear's, where he collected the parts of the classic animatronics. after that, he dug his way into the Pizzaplex. the rest is gameplay.

I'd say retcon is the wrong word. Scott had intentions for the game that he didn't share with the devs so they did other stuff. Ruin was meant to put the storyline back on track to fit with Scott's vision. So its mores poor storytelling in the SB due to poor communication and jumbled up plot points. I think the mimic was always planned by Scott, just not fully integrated in SB due to these communication issues. So it's kinda a retcon in that the devs had to change directions, but in terms of what was always planned for the series by Scott, the mimic was likely intentional and the original vision

@@dylanhudec979 I mean I was not making a stance on whether its good or not, personally given the messy storytelling, they really need to tightly control the narrative in the future to make up for the mess it was. All I'm saying is that the mimic was always planned, we can see that in the books where the mimic was already written and mimic-like creatures were in many stories. They aren't canon, but they were setting up for the mimic to become canon (although the mimic stories might now be canon? Hard to say for sure, but definitely possible and might be confirmed with the new HW2 update involving Tales from the Pizzaplex.) Everyone is entitled to their opinions on the direction the game is going, but to attack the fans for pointing out that the mimic was always intentional is a bit harsh when that's the story we are being given by Scott. It honestly could have been a pretty good story had the miscommunication not happened, which yes, is Scott and SteelWool's fault. It was a disaster, but theorizing is meant to be fun and I think the concept of the mimic has great potential from a story-telling angle if they can get their act together and start tightening their hold on the story and how they tell it

I can't really get behind Mimic. I will never forget the sheer hype and excitment for Glitchtrap and then the utter disappointment of burntrap/mimic nor will I forgive. Help wanted's glitchtrap was utterly creepy, the stage ending haunts me. The current mimic portrayel reads as something completely different. I understand the current storyline is that glitchtrap was a virus that is the coding basis for the mimic but, as this video details, it fits Ennard far better, who is also their own kind of let down. A hivemind of sentient robots come to life because of their creators twisted obsessions and their own suffering could've gone so many cool ways and been horrifying. I wish they'd commit to having multiple big villains at once and have a sort of anthology thing going so if only so multiple potentially great stories wouldn't get cut prematurely.

It was Afton’s original suit but he threw it away because it looked too scary and the tales stories feel like a bunch of poorly written fanfiction oh and the mimic in the games act nothing like the mimic in the books the mimic in the books was literally literally a demon meanwhile the mimic and ruin just felt like an ordinary rogue machine I just don’t like them. OK I don’t like how it was written and I don’t like how it’s supposed to be connected to the puppet I know that’s a theory but it pisses me off because I don’t want this thing to be related to any OG fnaf character why can it just be its own thing? I know this is just a head cannon, but I like to believe after baby left the rest of the gang decided to split, ennard into three different bodies, using other animatronic parts and old pieces of their bodies. That could explain why molten Freddy has fun time Freddy’s head. We just only saw his side of the story. Besides, don’t you think it would make more sense for someone like ballora to be the leader after baby left? again this is just a head cannon, but how cool it be to see molten ballora and molten foxy in another game!

I actually rather like how molten freddy ended up. the funtimes aren'tthe planners, or cunning, or even thinking long term. they didn't want to get out for some big plan, they wanted to get out to stop being shocked and to kill. Baby was the brains, the control, the one running a tigtly knit ship keeping them in their correct form... funtme freddy? he's always been unstable, and now this reflects in his body. the wires are all still there, but they're untangled, chaotic, a shambling mess working just of aggression. they could theoretically pull themsevles back together, remake those smooth limbs, that focused look, but they don't want too, or they can't work well enough together and focus enough to do so. they said they didn't need baby, but they did, to be more than just a tangle. but a tangle with an ego. it's not that the legs have been removed, if you look at his size, he's far larger than ennard. it's just without that focus and control, they've all unravled if only scrap baby had been allowed to stay the calculating antagonist, and not just a daddys girl. her leaning into the bodysnatching, the manipulation. then I think molten freddy would also have been able to shine as the beast to her beauty. but as it stands, we took a fascinating antagonist in enard and just tossed them aside for willy

In my opinion molten is the perfect progression of ennard, the idea that after all mutually agreeing to kick out baby from the collective that is ennard, somehow funtime freddy managed to take control being an evenwirse leader, is fascinating to me. They took the ounce calm and collected manipulative ennard and ejected the only arguably sane one who acted as the voice of reason and put the most crazy unhinged character the series had seen up to that point in charge I stead resulting in then failing to hold themselves together becoming a writhing mass of wires and eyes not even able to walk as it's legs fell apart into a pudle of tangled wires forcing it to crawl along the floor, combine that with the return of Keller Goff to voice him and the tonal difference of funtime Freddy's normal murderous excitement and the lower more genuine sounding yet clearly sinister "thanks for letting me join the party, I'll try hard not to disapoint" I love the change from ennard to molten freddy for tge exact same reasons why people love the withereds, getting to see what characters we already know and love could look like at their worst

I think Ennard was a plan that, had they done it before, they hadn't been caught doing. One of Baby's lines, "If they find us like this... we won't be able to try again..." seems to imply that something they're doing has either not been attempted before, or at least never been caught by the people who come to clean up the messes. Given "We've been out before, but they always put us back inside." is followed up by "We have nowhere to go, when we look like this. But if we looked like you, we would have somewhere to go.", it seems to be trying to articulate that the Funtime animatronics have just simply cut and ran before, possibly from actual events or outright breaking free from the facility, but they because of their massive size, distinctive appearance and unfamiliarity with the outside world, they get eventually found and retrieved. Ennard is their shot at getting far enough that the company won't find them, obviously enough, but it's also something that they can only try once as the company will prevent it from happening again if the plan fails. I suppose this can be assumed to be why they simply follow you home if you escape - they've forfeited their ability to wait for an opportunity by doing this. Also Ennard's design still looks way better than the Mimic's. If they wanted to do that plotline the best thing to do would be to make a bunch of those games-that-never-were between SL and FFPS, and remake FFPS to both have actually comprehensible nights and all the additions (and a story that doesn't rely on one single cutscene's atmosphere to be accepted by the community, though it might still be carried by that given how much people have accepted FFPS's story over the one it replaced, to the point of rejecting the next high quality cutscene that replaced FFPS's story the same way it did to its predecessors). Because there definitely was supposed to be multiple games between SL and FFPS. FFPS is designed to be the trap to tie up every loose end, and it starts off with three total loose ends to tie up: Springtrap, still wandering around as shown in the ending of FNaF 3 (for all the unimpressive reality him showing up turns out to be compared to his terrifying original design); the Puppet, enigmatic that it is, there from the beginning and still around after everything as shown by it showing up in person in 3; and Ennard, who does actually have a pretty similar narrative weight to those other two, being a major threat not in the slightest bit unwilling to kill to get whatever it decides it wants, a hivemind of computers and souls with multiple perspectives to solve any trap or threat, and yet possibly able to grow into something kinder after escaping the endless torture of that facility. There is space for more threats here, even enough space to have Ennard splitting be _in_ FFPS if he really wanted. But you can tell Scott was tired by this point, seeing as he tried to go in a different direction with the series several times before even SL, and by looking at the drop in design quality of FFPS's main threats. Hell, it's possible some of the designs in FFPS like the Rockstars or the Mediocre Melodies were intended to be the threats in other games, but were just put into it since they were completed already. Other games that might've been just shaken-up versions of the franchise's gameplay, but with background elements telling stories like Springtrap still wandering, Lefty capturing the Puppet, Ennard's split and Baby finding her new body - stuff that's just left basically unsaid or in afterthought teasers now, rather than something theorists could find and actually piece together into a cohesive story between several games - something that the franchise has still, honestly, yet to do (none of the stories told by these games line up completely with their previous, as much as some take it as always intended). It could've been so great. 14:09 I feel like it's important to mention that remnant is never mentioned in SL. Not by name or truly by implication. This includes the blueprints of the Funtime band the game has in it - according to SL, the Funtime band kidnaps children just because William wanted more to kill, presumably (even though it's never stated anywhere in the games why he did it. Baby is a possessed animatronic, like any of the others before her in the franchise without any extra magic metal to help the process, and though it's difficult to fully trust anything she says in the game she actually speaks of Elizabeth as a separate entity during some of her monologues in optional visits, which remains the strongest evidence for the Funtimes being sentient AI in the series, including all the books and whatnot that basically ignore these details. Remnant was only introduced in the novel trilogy, and for the games introduced in Pizza Sim, where it was retconned into being the purpose for the scooper and apparently in Molten Freddy (though where he's storing a bunch of presumably-liquid in those wires that are probably scraped along the ground enough to not be watertight, I couldn't tell you). SL, for all its somewhat scifi visual themes, doesn't try to scientifically explain possession.

I love Ennard, the oddly lanky yet bulky wire clown was always a big favorite of mine and just like my other favorites he came and went pretty quickly. Nightmarionne at least seems to be making something of a return in some way but poor Ennard won’t get that chance as the Mimic has truly stolen his niche in the series for the modern story. Still, at least he can appear and shine in other ways like the og Help Wanted.

I'm now imaging an AU, where fnaf 3 was the end of springtrap, and we're kind of left in the dark. Scott makes a new, seemingly unrelated game. It's still horror, and as the game unfolds, it becomes clear that it's set in the same universe as the games. There are missing and mangled children, and adults too are seemingly going missing. As Ennard has been almost mindlessly killing and moving around. Or maybe have it clearly set in the fnaf universe, with a Vanny style copycat killer, trying to replicate the original crimes at freddies so many years ago. But the true villain turns out to be Ennard, as a straight up monster. And now it's up to Mike to deal with it, just as he dealt with his father.

Things I think. 1. If it were up to me I would have the Funtime Animatronics Escape the Facility as themselves after killing Michael (and not getting scooped) so they could all go do their own thing, meanwhile ennard is their own separate entity, then at some point Funtime Freddy Himself becomes Molten Freddy. 2. I would replace ballora with Funtime Chica that way Ballora could have a different story perhaps as a helpful Animatronic. 3. Seeing how Circus Baby believed she was scooping her father I think i would’ve preferred if Circus Baby was like a Vengeful Hero that is genuinely helping Michael trying to stop her father. 4. I think Circus Baby Coerced the other funtimes into the Scooping Plan, if seems like they would’ve been just satisfied killing Michael and that being it. 5. I wish we could’ve explored Circus Baby’s Pizza World, they could’ve put the Location on top of Circus Baby’s Entertainment and Rentals.

In regards to Blob/Tangle, people have made a theory that it's made from the Agony left behind from Ennard/Molten Freddy, and it absorbed things contained in the Pizzaplex that also contains Agony, hence why it's more than just the Endoskeleton parts from the Funtimes.

That 1 spring leg no doubt was an extra add on the funtimes made so they could quickly punce on theyre targets. Great video. And i just wanted to say i was confused when fnaf 6 released. I hope im not the only one who had no clue molten freddy was ennard because that makeshift mask molten freddy has made me think it was the funtime freddy from the books because they're had to be a prototype of all the funtimes at some point. Thinking of it that way it may be possible that the night 4 springlock suit is a prototype of funtime chica. The faceplates match so a prototype springlock suit of funtime chica would make sense if every band member had a prototype build.

I think that’s the most likely reason why it took on the persona of Funtime Freddy above any of the others. But the split came down to wanting more enemies to deal with in FFPS, pulling entirely from all the games so far since it was intended to be a wrap-up of the story up to that point. So the Puppet, William, Baby, and the Funtimes, now combined.

Why double dip from the same game? Could've had golden freddy to rep fnaf 1 (Whatever arbitrary retroactive lore excuses for why that couldnt happen aside) its not like hes opposed to using him as a regular threat, he even had customizeable a.i. settings in fnaf2. or he could have brought in something akin to the Twisted Ones, a blank slate mannequin using the illusion disk things to rep the nightmare animatronics from fnaf4. _I really think its just as simple as Scott wanting to bring an iconic actor back to reprise his role._

@@sasaki999pro Firstly, again, Scott’s stated mindset going in to FFPS was wrapping up the lingering loose threads of the story up to that point. So inventing a new enemy (which would have no reason to exist to begin with) wasn’t on the table, and GF is in Molten. And no, that ain’t retroactive lore. Which leads into something I should have said before, which is that Molten doesn’t just represent the wayward Funtimes. He represents the MCI, coming back for one final go after being prominent antagonists for the whole damn series, and in a new form that specifically calls back to FNAF3’s bad ending (Never mind that he might just spiritually represent Crying Child, but let’s not get too esoteric lol). An even bigger reason to separate them from Baby, who was already independent from the other Funtimes previously, but didn’t get her own jumpscare or direct attack before. Simple game design philosophy and narratively resonant ideas seem like a way likelier explanation for this than getting a cool voice actor back. Either that, or, just to level with you… he wanted Kellen back, and crafted some seriously cool symbolism to tie it together. I say the former, but either one is fine lol

I keep telling people that the blob is mostly "The THING," from the John carpenter film. One can say Enard was the first thought to being a THING rippoff. I'd imagined that the fun times would get acclimated, by a head wearing a clown mask with tentacle wires going everywhere, or at least baby opening her face pulling a dog scene on the funtimes and Turing into enard. I was partially right but they did it off camera. Then theirs molten freddy, which is the closests to representing "THE THING," the most, though at the same time underwhelming because how pizzriasimulator ended the story. I mean look at him tell me theres a similarity. Then of course there the blob, which too me is a stupid name given by the fandom, and look nothing like a pile of slim. I mean seriously. I mean look closely at the blob, then watch the thing scenes from the carpenter film. I was gonna say something about 3:30 in my initial comment, but I wanted to wait to the end, and then I forgot. So, the way I've always interpreted this chunk of her speech was: "We've been out of the facility before, being rented out for parties, but we always end up back here. We can't just run away, we're big cartoonish robots that are easy to track down." The lab rats have scheduled enrichment days, but always get put back in their tiny enclosures with no hidey houses. If Ennard was not a one-time rodeo, who caught them in the other attempts? How was he overpowered? How were they dismantled and sorted back out to their respective shells? Second smaller thing, mimicking Liz' voice is not out of the ballpark for them, but if Circus Baby "still" hears her, it could also very well be Elizabeth herself taking advantage of Freddy’s voice mimic.

Someone should make a fan game all about what happened with Ennard shortly after they ejected themselves out of Michael's body. It could literally just be a game where you play as a teenager/kid exploring storm drains for the heck of it or maybe some lost construction worker who wandered into the storm drains and are being chased by Ennard. After some creepy Ennard stalking and maybe a chase sequence (all Poppy Playtime style), the protagonist makes it back home only to find that Ennard has followed them home, seemingly hellbent on eliminating their target. During the climax of the game, Baby attempts to keep the rest of the Funtimes in check, pointing out how this would bring too much attention to them in the eyes of the public and that they were wasting their time going after this one, miniscuel and inconsequential target. While the rest of Ennard, of course, doesn't really give a crap and just wants to scratch that itch of elimination. No witnesses or whatever. Baby could be the sole reason why Ennard would take such a slow approach to begin with as opposed to just rushing in like a rabid beast. This arguing ends up in the protagonist escaping once again... and the rest of the Funtimes would not be happy about that. So, in collective agreement, they boot Baby out of the Ennard Club and the post credit sequences show Baby slowly putting herself back together while Molten Freddy has found a new target as their body starts to lose more and more of its shape without the more calculated leadership of Baby. There is no reason why this fangame could not be cannon so long as it doesn't tie too much into the rest of the story XD Get on it, fangame devs...

There is actually this theory that the Funtime's remnant came from the endos of the original gang when Afton destroyed them in FNAF3. I think is pretty interesting that Ennard could be the monster created by the accumulation of all that vengeful energy, trying to survive with Baby as the lead, and once she is gone, they decay.

The repeating themes of taking bodies/identities from victims at the hand of a malformed/broken/imperfect animatronic from Ennard all the way through to the most recent Mimic makes me wonder if this theme will be repeated with Jackie. If not and she's a completely new take on a villian, awesome. If so I would just wonder why and for what purpose. As far as we know Jackie comes from the very very beginning of the Freddy's business history. Especially if she comes from a time Pre-Charlie death, what would be the point in mimicing/imitating someone? Maybe William's very first experiment in a way of gathering Remnant after the death of Dave but before Charlie's? Possible but gathering Remnant is still a few steps away from mimicing/imitating someone. Very curious for what Secret of the Mimic holds.
