And everyone fucking loves him for the human being that he is. And a lot of people who remember him”when it was cool” to be a wrestling fan - they remember the Rock, the peoples champ, the most electrifying man in ALL of sports entertainment……… they don’t know asshole Final Boss
@BearsInDaChat4 күн бұрын
@@BrianJohnsonArmwrestling I doubt that, it was TKO/Netflix decision. I’m sure the big wigs of Netflix can care less about the “story” from before, and wanted Rock one of the biggest movie stars to usher in the Netflix era to all the new casual viewers tuning in. Also, Rock has like 3 movies in production this year so this may be the way to do a hard pivot from the old story line with Rock being involved. He already showed Cody love and acknowledged Roman as tribal chief, so it’s pretty much a wrap.

But there's absolutely no way, that they as a group just decide to walk away from all of that cash on the table without doing Rock v Roman, Rock v Cody, a triple threat, Rock v Punk, Rock's Bloodline vs. Roman's Bloodline, etc........there's so much meat left on those bones!!!!!!

No they figured out the fans dont hold them accountable and will just watch anything if you just throw a couple famous names on it. HHH sold out WWE in everyway imaginable and people are like " Man this is so great " 🤓 Why would they spend the time or money when the same people going to watch anyways? That is how I am starting to feel inside about it. I dont want old washed up has beens, Criminal KZbinrs, or celebrity gimmick after gimmick on my wrestling show anymore. Its all about Money and I cant get past that enough to enjoy whatever this is he is giving us. The people are far far too receptive to anything in my opinion. We do not even see our champions or big names but once a month these days. It is the oldest & laziest trick in the book. Again everyone still watches... Can you imagine the ego/narcissism in a man that thinks bc his family is their he should not be the same character everyone else's family watches for entertainment and has for nearly a year?.. Are you slow? That is some leaps in logic and shows your allegiance to daddy Dwayne. Whole community suffers just so his daughters can have comfort? What about all the daughters that went to see the Final Boss character not some executive shit head stroking the Netflix execs. egos on the mic.? I am sorry to be harsh but FFS yall have a form of stolkholme syndrome in this community sometimes I swear! You will convince yourselves of anything, even absurd things, over facing the truth is what I mean by that!

All the crumbs they drop make sense at some point. If it doesn't make sense in the end, then I'm comfortable to say so. But as for that really long soliloquy you wrote above.......get a life. Wrestlemania 11 Diesel vs Shawn was meant to be a showcase for Diesel. But it turned out to be a showcase for Shawn. Like so many others that wrestling "fans" completely ignore because they are obsessed with wins and losses, Shawn in a loss, just like Macho in a loss to Steamboat, like Bret in a loss to Davey Boy, showed that he was the one who was going to be the star. One day hopefully more fans will understand that part of being a great pro wrestler is the ability to make your opponent look good. And sometimes that means losing. It is not the end of their career (see Liv Morgan question from the emailer)

The fact that so many people are bashing them for "only having 4 matches" is ridiculous. If you don't understand that the premiere of Raw on Netflix was not about having as many matches as they could, then sorry but you are either a little slow or WWE is just not the product for you. This was a showcase event with many new viewers. If it were about just wrestling matches for the sake of wrestling matches, those people would be watching AEW. And these were 4, main event level, PLE caliber matches. WWE's PLE's over that last year have most been 5 matches (with no commercials). This fell in line more with a PLE than a typical Raw. Triple H coming out at the start. John Cena coming out. The Rock... None of these thing were out of place and ALL served a purpose.

30:01 gotten to this point far so in the video. Here’s what I think, Rock enters RR and eliminates Roman or vice versa setting up the feud and the reason Rock is in there for the first place is because he had his eyes on Cody’s title the day after WM 40.
@thebeautifulgame75104 күн бұрын
Much bigger impact to put the ulafala on his own neck than eliminating Roman at RR.
@D_Rog24 күн бұрын
@ Yeah, IF he were trying to be the tribal chief. He’s not though. He’s High Chief and Final Boss. And if he’s eyeing the title, only as a way to insert himself into the RR, and the storyline is really to get him to beef with Roman, then RR elimination makes sense. Even can point back to how Roman speared him on Night One as his reason plus wanting the title, just don’t let him win the RR. Next Raw or on his Instagram he goes “So I’ve been hearing the fans ask ‘Why? why Rocky…Why?’ And he points to that night, how he’s the one who pinned Cody 1, 2, 3 and how Roman couldn’t do it, and how he took Roman’s spear and defeat Cody anyways. and Roman’s in his way for what he wants, the WWE title, and that sets up the feud between the two because Roman feels betrayed. Idk just my two cents. I just don’t see rock wanting the ulafala. He doesn’t need it, honestly.

I would rather see CM Punk vs Cody at WM41 for the title because one thing you can’t create or manufacture is electricity when two people step in the ring and that’s exactly what happens when CM punk and Cody Rhodes gets face-to-face and to be perfectly honest you actually think the rock’s current style of wrestling being that he’s older will put on a good match against Cody??. I don’t think so. CM punk can still wrestle at a very high level while telling and even better story and is doing his best work right now just like back at his cage match against Drew McIntyre one of the best cage matches. I’ve seen in a very long time and that should be one of the basic minimum requirements for a wrestlemania main event you have to be able to wrestle at a high level and after seeing the rock take bumps in the ring last wrestlemania told me he’s nowhere near where he should be if he’s planning on taking up a main event spot against the WWE champion. The rock can’t use Hulk Hogan style against someone like Cody Rhodes. That’s slow long holding just doesn’t work.and he’s not gonna flex his muscles and get reactions like he did with Hogan against Cody. That’s why I think CM punk is the better match for Cody. They’ll put on a wrestling clinic.

It doesn’t make sense for you to lose to the “under boss” and then face the Final boss, however why does this same logic not apply to championships won and lost in the wwe. For example when Gunther lost his intercontinental championship at wrestlemania why then did he get to fight for the world heavyweight championship if we are following that same logical reasoning? If you’re not supposed to lose to someone lower in order to face someone higher. Your analysis makes sense but it cannot be applied across the board.

Drew doesn’t get boo’d everytime he comes out, even after he attacked Jey. He still got his claymore kick counted in the middle of the feud with Punk. The Rock still got some cheers when he was the Final Boss leading up to Mania. His work since Mania had been nothing close to that level though. Raw after Mania was an akward mess. He’s acting like they don’t have an incredibly on sight beef, he gives him a gift he tells him not to break his heart. Bad blood was whatever, useless stuff. And this was basically a full episode of the Curtain Call, except it’s an international part of WWE programming. That’s not going to sit right with a lot of people. I don’t think that’s where they will go with it, but not out of the realm of possibilities. If both Rock and Cena have matches at Wrestlemania it will not be against each other. I think it will be utilized to put talent over. I don’t think Rock or Cena should win at Wrestlemania since it will do nothing for their careers (they reached the top already). Now would Cena want his last match to be a loss though? That would be interesting. I can see him wanting to face the Rock and winning that as his last match.

I think it is what it is, raw sure was more a standalone event and no storylines were really advanced more some finished got a few payoffs but he was there as a TKO board member BUT when he showed up on NXT and it was the same Babyface Rock no final boss to be seen we all now need to swallow were not getting Rock at Mania period...There's no recovering even in the time frame until mania..he can't just switch up all of a sudden, now if he would've turned on Roman when putting the Ula Fala on we woulda had something, even the looks at first I thought here it comes but no it didn't and personally if it goes beyond this year I don't even care to see it, Rock another year older no interest..he was even slow at mania last year and didn't look like himself now add another year onto that I have ZERO interest, we missed our moment for a boring PG Vince era run in Cody Rhodes. I didn't want Cody going over at mania but we all knew it was coming to "Finish his stowwwey" Cody's gotta finish his stowwwey mommy Rhodes, cry me a river who cares push Cody to the side all he had was that finish the story and now all we've had are boring, pg crowd hugging Cody Rhodes promos and matches. Please tell me WWE is smart enough to see that he can't go into Mania with the belt, Roman should go in as champ against CM Punk and off we go...give Cody Cena at Mania no belt needed just 2 crowd hugging oh guys they can fight over crowd cheers

"he's not gonna come out and put on this fake show"....idk if you heard bud, but all of it is a fake show. That's what he's supposed to do, come out and put on this "fake show". You're on their payroll now so not surprised you're defending this but this whole thing is a very "Vince" way of story telling, aka suddenly scrapping a story just because.

Raw needs to go back to USA asap. Raw was full of seat fillers corporate promotion patting themselves on the back and doing predictable things !

i appreciate you trying to justify that rock segment but yea thtat was just a miss lol i think the rock had nothing planned and went out off the cuff like he did at nxt and just made a bad decision in the moment

Wild speculation here. (Haven’t finished the episode yet) With Rock somewhat being back, and us not knowing the direction this story is going; what if … and hear me out. What if The Rock costs Cody the title against K.O at the rumble. That would set up Cody vs Rock for wrestlemania, and if Roman wins the Royal Rumble he can go after KO for the title.
@itsmejayfree4 күн бұрын
I would assume it would make K.O irate that a bloodline member helped him win, but his hatred for what Cody has done will be greater. With Roman being cheered & Kevin boo’d, the idea that Kevin doesn’t want Roman back in power now falls directly in his lap as the WWE champion. As we head to wrestlemania, Roman slowly gets more conniving, evil. Making the fans (us) see that Roman never changed, and Kevin IS right. So by wrestlemania he becomes the baby face, with Roman being heel.

I’m not coming down on you for this so don’t be offended and if you are…sorry, but wrestling has been DEAD since 2001 I honestly don’t know how it still has a fan base….the wrestlers don’t even look like wrestlers they don’t have the aura about them like the wrestlers I grew up watching in the 80s and 90s, the characters have no charisma they can’t cut legendary promos the matches are nothing but cartwheels and flips ITS GARBAGE!!!!!!! And the crazy thing is I haven’t watched in over 20 years and I can see it. I see these KZbin videos and it’s all I need to see. Garbage product, bring back any old school guy you want it won’t save this shit filled diaper that wresting has become. I feel sorry for people that missed the 89s and 90s because that was the best it will EVER be and nothing will change that. And it’s funny that they keep having to go back to the guys of the 89s and 90s to get a reaction, pure trash!!

Sorry Sam but it has never been more obvious that you get paid by the WWE then your Rock take here unless we’re being worked that was a waste of time and that he only does it when he is booed is a weak argument and you know it I’m sorry otherwise your content is great

Sam is far from some WWE shill. He’s one of the few podcasters in this space that keeps it real and tells it like it is.

this glazing of what the rock did on netflix is crazy.. he killed the final boss character and the storylines with it.. everything counts..RIGHT!? there's no going back to that without it being so cheesy and corny just like his stupid people's title he carries.. glad we won't have to see that dumb thing anymore.. there's no other way to see it as the final boss character is DEAD

Hopefully Cody drops the best soon. His title run has been extremely underwhelming and boring. Truly bad year for where they projected him. 😊

I think we should get CM Punk vs Rock at wrestlemania. His favor will be to get a main event and Roman will give up his shot against the rock and hand it to punk
@Rude7874 күн бұрын
😂No
@BearsInDaChat4 күн бұрын
That would be a terrible main event. It wouldn’t make sense for Rock to face anyone other than Roman or Cody. Either way he should lose and put one of them over.
