those award shows setlists always get leaked each year and BTS the only one alongside one or two vocal heavy groups to sing LIVE live. bc many groups always go for live AR which is them prerecording and lipsyncing to their voices (including their breathing) to make it sound like it’s live

Fr like lip syncing doesn’t make you a bad singer cause it’s your own good vocals you are still lip syncing to, and with the fact that they have hard choreo I wouldn’t blame them if they wanted to lip sync. I see some people say that “they can’t sing, that’s why they lip sync and use auto tune” and I’m here like “ you do know auto tune doesn’t make you a good singer right, it will just make you sound auto tune. You have to be a good singer for your voice to sound good, auto tune won’t make that happen 😂”

i've been to their concert 3 times. last year would have been the 4th time but dang covid got in the way. but i'm still holding on to my tickets til it'll happen again. anywho, they DO NOT lip-sync. their voices only change because of the fact that they do hard choreography. or running and jumping up and down the big stage if not doing the choreo and eventually get tired. can you imagine performing/singing and dancing for more or less 2 hours. their concerts are almost 3 hours but it's because of breaks/changing wardrobes.

As BTS army who's been watching countless videos of BTS singing and rapping they aren't lip syncing. If they have a sore throat or they are feeling under the weather they still sing or rap. I don't know when they find time to rest to get themselves better. BTS are usually very busy and they don't get enough rest. I like it when the guys get a whole month off from working. They have used live autotune and lip syncing on multiple occasions BUT these people assume that they do it every performance which is where they go wrong. BTS have MANY examples of performances where they haven't used either of those things, but there are a few where they have. Either way, I really do want the people that criticise them for it to try and be in BTS' position before they scrutinise them for it.

LOL when they use auto tune, they uSe aUtOtUnE - I mean that you can tell as they use it as it's own instrument or effect for the song. Like for Dionysus when you get to it - it adds to the chaotic-ness of the song for a purpose or Telepathy. Suga tends to use it on his raps for affect as well. But all modern artists use Autotune and compression (or they should be unless going for an old school effect) - producers pretty much demand its use otherwise it don't sound like modern music. It also means you can tell the obvious difference between live and studio. The backing track when it comes forward is super clean during difficult moves. Haters like the ones above obviously don't have proper ears.....well it makes sense that they don't if they just want to hate on BTS - probably scared they may start to love themselves - their hateful, spiteful, disrespectful selves

BTS do use autotune, but they use it the way T-Pain did - not as pitch "correction," but as an effect. They add it to enhance the sonics of a song/give a modern feel, not to somehow try & fool people into thinking they all sing perfectly on -pitch all the time.

With the last year of them? They sing live at some point and it gets recorded (you can tell as it doesn't sound like the recorded album track) so yes and no? and then it gets edited for the TV. They're not lip syncing per se, they're still singing live as they perform but likely with the mics off and the recorded live put over it for us. Did that make sense? I'm not sure it made sense.....it made sense in my head 😬🥴

Because b4 the shows they would have had to practice over and over and over again and it could end up tiring them and straining their voices so when they are practicing they pre record their live vocals and when they actually have to perform live they are lip sync to the pre recorded LIVE vocals and not the studio version. (Sometimes)

I think people just don't understand the notion of backing tracks, that they use during their concerts or intense live performances. If an artist lip sync while dancing, it's because they have a lot of choreo and Jt gets harder to sing and breathe while moving around on stage. If you sing majority or your songs it's okay if you sometimes have a voice crack, lose your voice etc....
