This group is part of a bigger group called Exile Tribe. They are basically what SM wanted to create with NCT. Exile Tribe has several mixed members in different groups and aren't really considered idol groups but performance groups because idols in japan are quite different from the ones in korea.

Yooo, your reaction is always so fun bro. And yes, they killing it with the stylists here. I honestly always prefer japanese fashion, they might not be for everyone, but you know they got style, and personalities. The group is a part of collective group called Exile tribe. They are basically an older and bigger version of NCT. And yeah they always known to have a very diverse looks. There's actually an era of jpop where so many of their biggest artists are very western inspired, it was in the 90's and early 2000's. They're influenced heavily by hip-hop and rnb, honestly I think the one that triggers the making of kpop is actually THAT era of jpop. And Exile Tribe is an extended group of that era. The company, LDH, is originally a company made for dancers so most of them can dance dance. LDH also owns EXPG, a very popular dance schools there, we got two kpop idols attend their schools, its Shotaro from Riize and Sana Twice. Funny tho, XG is actually a successor of another big company from that era. Its Avex, and they have managed some of the biggest dance artists in japan. Japanese music industry is very big and diverse, you can find everything you like there if you dig deep enough. But its hard for a performers to be big in japan when the industry today prefer a more relateable artists. And since the performers market are already snatched by kpop, thats probably why they try to promote internationally. But yeah, thank you for the video, this kinda makes my day

J-Pop is on another level with their versatility and diversity especially in comparison to K-Pop. They got insanely talented groups but there’s definitely been some gatekeeping going on because they’re finally receiving worldwide recognition. If you liked these dudes, I’d suggest taking a look at BALLISTIK BOYZ, THE RAMPAGE, and FANTASTICS. Other suggestions (outside their family) would be Number_i, IMP., ENJIN, iScream, Girls ² , GENIC, and Atarashii Gakkou. Some of my favorites from this year alone: Number_i - GOAT Number_i - FUJI THE RAMPAGE - Can’t Say Goodbye GENIC - Hallelujah IMP. - Switching

The one thing that I love whenever I search for new Japanese music is that, they have it all! You want pop? Sure, what style you want? Gal, Idol, Ballad? What about J-Rap? Okay, from the hardcore to more melodic g-funk and even disco style. What about Rock? Hey, any style you want buddy! Jazz, classical, city pop, orchestral? There is all!

Another member is Korean-Moroccan but idk how he ended up in a Japanese group 😂 but they definitely fire. I had trouble with Japanese groups and songs overall in general except the slight rap scene with Kohh but overall a lot of groups where super pop rock electronic which isn’t my vibe at all but this group is definitely it and it’s nice for once it’s not a Korean group getting the clout. I’m glad people are not stuck on Korea and now appreciate groups and artists from other countries
