the butterflies are an amazing foreshadowing for hextech and the main topic of inventions/science in general for this show. It was meant to be an invention for entertaining- completely harmless and even that(!) can be turned into a deadly weapon in the wrong hands (with wrong intentions)... This is the overall dilemma of science and progress - most of the time born from pure and good intentions, it is abused at some point by selfish people and this results in so much destructive behaviour/power and costs a lot of (often innocent) lifes in the end. After all, every coin has two sides - not only one... this is just one of many great examples in this show. BTW these butterflies are chemtech powered - not shimmer powered. Just wanted to point that out because chemtech is never directly named in S1. You can generally separate it from color - green (sometimes yellow/orange) is chemtech and shimmer is purple. I believe chemtech will be more explored in S2.

@@Sinewmire yeah the show is full of mirroring aspects and if you start pointing them out, the more you will find ^^. SPOILER ep8 I also love when Jayce puked after seeing the dead people on the bridge that his gaze lingers on his own invention (!) that helped creating this bloodshed on the bridge. At the council room he still fidgets with a broken wing of it - that is why he wants to go to war- because he realized, that even harmless inventions (not only purposely designed weapons like Mel asked him to) get turned into deadly weapons anyways in this swelling conflict - and they've proven to definetly use it. And after Mel's (ep7 "The peace is already broken") and the mother Medarda (ep8 "slaughtered with your eyes closed") preptalk he feels extremely threatened, pushing him into wanting to go in with brute force. Between Ekko's certainty that only "Jinx" is left, coupled by her calling him the "boy savior", I have a feeling that Ekko must have attempted to "rescue" / draw Powder back on multiple occasions through the years. Yes! There is a whole lot more going on here than what we are shown. I think there was a whole show worth of stuff that happened between Marcus, Jinx, and Ekko during the time skip. Starting at the reunion part at the end of episode 6, When Vi tells Jinx that she didn't mean to leave her but was arrested... Jinx says "Marcus?" Vi says it doesn't matter. I think it matters. Jinx is perched up high at the bridge with her looking glass way before anyone else shows up like she knows that this is the spot where something is going to go down. Jinx also has the butterfly bombs ready. When it is revealed that Marcus and the enforcers are at the bridge, Ekko immediately knows something is wrong. Caitlin tells Marcus she has evidence that Silco is behind everything and tells Ekko to show Marcus the gem stone. Ekko says "No" and is acting like something is wrong. Marcus then shoots Ekko. Jinx is watching and says "Liar!". Who lied? What was being lied about? The entire scene feels like we are missing something that Jinx and Ekko both know about. The case that Ekko carries the gem stone in looks remarkably like the z-drive that allows Ekko to manipulate time. It feels like this bridge scene has played out several times... like Ekko and Jinx are both aware of it. Like THIS moment is pivotal to the entire story. Some interesting things here. For one... If Ekko has a plan to change what happened at the bridge then it changes a lot of things. One major thing that can change is Marcus' story. Marcus could still have an amazing redemption arc. Hmmm... this has all been sort of a stream of thought post, but it feel like there could be some great opportunities here for incredible story telling in season 2. I might have finally found something worth making a video about.

@@RoaringTide "That metal clang sound could just as easily be the noise Jinx's bombs make when the mechanical jaw on them clamps shut before they explode." No it can't. Literally, the noise wouldn't sound like this and it wouldn't sound as loud. This is the exact noise of an empty and heavy pipe hitting something metallic, try to play with pipes and you'll hear it. It's impossible to replicate with a small mechanism like the grenades. Sometimes you need to read between the lines, not everything in storytelling is going to be "proven" but because stories aren't real life, you can infer the truth from the choices directors and animators make.

I love the little detail that when Jinx shoots at Vi and Caitlyn, while Vi goes to push her out of the way, Caitlin tries to cling tighter to protect Vi with her body. It really shows the difference in how protective they are of each other, with Vi's showing her more avoidant personality by pushing her away to save her, and Caitlyn showing her more loving, self-sacrificing nature. Also I like how in the fight between Ekko and Jinx, they're in front of a firelight and crow, respectively. Fireflys usually represent childhood, while crows represent death and loss, which combined can be read as a symbolic loss of innocence for Jinx.

People in chat were saying that Vi’s treatment of Jinx is more toxic than Silco’s because she is denying Jinx’s identity while Silco accepts it, but they are forgetting that Vi has been out of prison and known about Jinx for only a few days. She has not had time to really process and think about what happened, and of course her immediate reaction to Jinx would be “I called her a jinx last time I saw her, I didn’t mean it, she’s not a jinx, I need to tell her that and get powder back.” Also by this episode Vi has only seen Jinx once and is just now seeing what she has become. It is new to her and scares her because it is so different from the awkward little girl Powder used to be. Vi might not accept Jinx’s identity right now, but that’s because she doesn’t yet truly understand it because she has known for literally a few days. Meanwhile Silco accepts Jinx but is also manipulative and uses her for his goals even if he does love her. Really the only reason he accepts her identity as Jinx is because that identity helps his cause through her ruthlessness and impulsiveness. Him genuinely caring about her does not erase that fact. Vi actually loves her sister, and would do anything to help her, and right now she thinks the way to help her is to bring Powder back because she HAS ONLY HAD A FEW DAYS TO PROCESS EVERYTHING. She has also not been with Jinx for the past 7-ish years so the only things she knows are what Sevika told her and what she saw in the very short interaction she had with Jinx. Vi is not deliberately denying Jinx’s identity, she is trying to figure out everything that has happened. She is processing a lot in a very short amount of time. Her treatment of Jinx is not toxic.

Also, 'Jinx' represents a reminder of utter failure and pain on Vi's part. EVERYTHING about the identity of Jinx reminds her that she failed to follow Vander's instructions (protect Powder), and so on. Unfortunately people love to romanticize villains and justify their actions. Silco is a manipulator, and his influence encouraged the worst in Powder/Jinx. He wanted her to become strong, and the "best" version of herself--that doesn't mean it was right for her mental health. People gloss over the fact Silco convinced Jinx that Vi abandoned her, when she didn't. He of course didn't know what really became of Vi (because Markus told him she was dead), but he still covered up the fact Vi was alive/looking for her. He wasn't just protecting Jinx, he was protecting his own self interests. He might be a complex character, but he's still a villain. And Jinx is still a victim of his influence, a tragic product of trauma, and a villain herself.

Also, Silco didn't just accept the Jinx identity. He cultivated it. These arguments that Silco was a good father drives me insane. He may have loved her in his own way but that doesn't make a good father. He took a damaged little girl and molded her into a weapon that he made sure (he tried anyway) would be completely loyal to only him because he was the only one she could trust. Remember, everyone else abandoned you. POS!!! This just proves what a great character Silco it make someone hate him as much as I do.

I really liked Marcus as a character. He was absolutely a coward and a piece of shit, but in such a realistic way. He wanted to do good and didn't want to side with Silco, but he was such a coward that he never acted like he SHOULD. I can't relate to being a corrupt cop and working with a criminal, but I CAN relate to wanting to be a good person but falling into cowardly and selfish behavior sometimes.

I'm hesitant to even call Marcus a piece of shit, at least after episode 3, he's much more complex then that. Jinx and Caitlyn have both blue hair and eyes, and are excellent shooters (something Jinx never got credit for). So her seeing Vi come back to save an enforcer so similar to her, while she didn't come back to save her when Silco came, made her go nuts. It's a sad misunderstanding.

I love that satisfied look on Vi's face when she comes into the conversation after Catilyn desperatly offered herself up in order to protect Vi. Vi's face literally says like "Hell yeah, see? I was not wrong about her - she IS trustworthy". They both vouched for each other independently - even though they had an argument ealier (Caitlyn even saying it was a mistake to trust Vi) they are still protecting each other. This is the moment imo that Vi finally decides to trust Caitlyn completely - I think this is a very important key moment defining some decisions/actions later on. And later on in the episode, when Caitlyn talks about healing the City we see Vi literally falling in love with her - she sees a person genuinely trying(!) to do good/right for all(!) people, who is trustworthy and loyal - realizing that their ideals and values align even though they come from opposite sites/backgrounds of the City - sometimes a bit naive though, but Vi can cope with that because this is a matter of experience. This is also the key moment that Vi learns though Caitlyn that not all enforcers/topsiders are bad, which she believed in Act I though. She hated topside back then, but Caitlyn shows her that not all at topside are the same- just like in the Undercity (ep6 "We are not monsters- we are people, just like you !"). I also think that from this scene on she decides that Caitlyn might be worthy getting a little more attached to and even invest some feelings in. That's why all the following scenes show so much more emotions on Vi's side (notice her always soft eyes towards Catilyn from then on). And Catilyn always confirms^^. Did anybody else notice Caitlyn's teary eyes after the goodbye hug (

Just to give a bit of perspective for Marcus, I think he’s a pretty tragic character. He was inspired to be like Grayson whom he looked up to. What she did was strike a deal with the undercity (specifically Vander) to protect their people (even though it went against the rules). Hoping to accomplish something similar he struck a deal with Silco. Sadly as we know, the arrangement of their “cooperation” was very different and he wound up getting trapped. Unable to leave the situation he was in out of fear of Silco hurting his daughter, he was to play along, even if it meant doing bad things. It sucks; especially now that his daughter will have no one.
@sofiagovea228

Sure, is unfortunate. The thing is, he didn't learn enough from Grayson, because he confused justice with arrogance. Probably because he was young and still learning, but his emotions got the better of him. That doesn't mean we should feel happy for his death or hate his guts (because aside from being an antagonist, he's actually kinda interesting) but yeah, he was messing up from the beggining. If he didn't made that deal with Silco (which then lead to his inevitable fall-out), I can't exactly theorize how much time would have taken him to actually become a good police man.

Yeah, I find it odd how many people hate and or don't feel any sympathy for Marcus. I mean, he made one bad mistake as a young rookie cop, trying to prove himself, and the rest of his life he really didn't have a choice to fix it. He profited from his actions and hurt people because of it, but if he had told the council about what actually happened, he would have been imprisoned or killed. He obviously was torn up from guilt and wanted to do the right thing by being a "martyr" but it's not easy to sacrifice your life, and he'd be leaving his daughter fatherless. Besides he was the reason Vi actually lived.

A video-breakdown of Ekko mentioned the amazing dynamic that he has with the rest of the series: - Vi is stuck in the past, trying to get back to the good old days when they were kids, going against any real logic in order to reach this goal. She is stagnant. Much like how Powder/Jinx is stuck to the fateful night that changed her life. - Caitlyn only sees the present, and what's right under her nose. She misses cues because she is too focused on the things she has. She is an investigator, after all, and the present is all that she cares for since it's how she is able to recollect the past. - Ekko isn't just the future. He's the wind of change. Ekko learns from the PAST to change the PRESENT in order to affect the FUTURE. The people in the past are just people in the past, and he accepted it and moved on to focus on the rest. Unlike Vi and Jinx, he isn't focused on reliving the past or fixing it. Unlike Caitlyn, he doesn't use the present to recollect the past, he catches subtleties and cues, and the past is a tool for him to gain such insight. Ekko is focused on the future. Planting a single seed and tending to it because in the future it will grow into a big, majestic tree. Taking the Hextech Gemstone to beat Silco, and ensure a better future. Ekko *feels* like a small, passing character, but he is MASSIVE.

What Ekko was silently saying to Powder/Jinx when he started swinging that watch: "Let's play our old game...one last time." And then, at the end of the fight, as one commenter put it: Ekko was ready to kill Jinx. He wasn't ready to kill Powder. Speaking of Jinx, I feel so terrible for her. We see her fight against her paranoia, trying to *not* jump to the worst conclusion about Vi and Caitlyn. But because she can't hear what's going on, everything she sees looks more and more suspicious to her, until she finally cracks again and lashes out. What Ekko has accomplished is very impressive. He started as just another orphan on the streets, but look at what he and his people were able to build. Silco is a ruthless and manipulative SOB, but what makes him really dangerous is that he truly believes almost everything he tells people, from the meeting with the other criminals to Jinx herself. And yes, he is projecting a lot of his own issues and points of view onto Jinx, but you can tell he also genuinely cares for her. I don't like Marcus, but I do feel sorry for him. There's an old saying: 'If you sup with the devil, use a long spoon.' He made a deal with Silco, it turned out horribly, and then he was trapped in it. He could have gotten out, but the price was too high for him; he didn't have the moral courage to go through with it. I'm curious as to what Vi was thinking at the end of the episode. She could have told Ekko to take hextech gemstone and help Caitlyn while she tried to talk to her sister. On the other hand, Jinx had just shot at her with a minigun, and clearly wasn't in a good state of mind. Maybe she was still just shocked by everything that happened. As for Marcus, no one seems to mention one simple fact. If he didnt stop Vi in the end of episode 3 - Silco would most likely kill her and Powder as well. The animation for the cold open and the Ekko vs Jinx fight… it’s so good. This show always finds new ways to amaze. So, Cait and Vi have now known each other two days. The end of this episode marks the second night. And we’re already doing the gentle face touches, and being so protective, and having cute little goodbye hugs. Heck, Vi even tells Ekko that he can trust Cait, showing she trusts her already too. I can’t with these two. I just can’t. Speaking of, I’m so glad you also caught that moment where Jinx fired on them. Cait goes to protect Vi while Vi pushes both of them out of the way. Again, I can’t with these two. Marcus is an interesting case for me. I found him more interesting than Jayce, at the very least. Like, I’m not sad he’s dead, but I do feel bad for his kid. And I thought the writing for him was actually really good. Young and stupid, made a horrible mistake, but while trying to keep the peace the way Grayson did he just continued to make things worse because of who he partnered with. Deal with the devil that left him burned no matter what he did. Love that you caught that Jinx had those little Firelight bombs on her desk. Also, Jinx did know that Ekko was with the Firelights. "My hero" is so good, people miss what happens right before and after it. Caitlyn is ready to sacrifice herself to protect Vi and Vi now trust Caitlyn so much she tells someone who hates enforcers he should trust her. They aren't just people working together because of circumstances, they are partners now. I completely missed it the first time I watched Arcane and Elijah missed it too.

The reason the title boy saviour is so unclear is because there was a deleted scene of ekko trying to save powder from silco when they were kids but powder turned him down. Hes the “ boy saviour” because he tried to get jinx back all those years ago does that kinda explain it better. The line “ she works with them him not because she has too it’s because she wants too” kinda proves the scene puzzle

The way Ekko uses that gadget to predict the future moment of what Jinx was going to do to attack is such a way to incorporate his time travel capabilities from the game without actually having him travel through time.

I don't think that Ekko really have some kind of "time power" on Arcane like he does in the game, that is only a clock. But can be a lot more interesting than that: seems that Ekko is a "time hacker". Is a discipline for some people nowadays (the show "Mr. Robot" talk about this a little), a superior form of time management. Even in the past scene, we see Ekko using the chronometer since than, on the training session. This tell us that Ekkos technique is measure the time lapse of everything on his life, so they know exactly how much time everyone in the fight is expending with every move they make. In the bridge, he moved across Jinx shots, because he knows the exact time between each one.

@@renascienza.bazarclub Potential spoilers: So far no, he doesn't have time travel abilties (even in the game, those abilities are not something he inherently has, he makes a device that helps him time travel), but people have been theorizing that he will make the gadget that helps him time travel with the help of heimerdinger in s2. It's probable because of the many foreshadowing, like this scene, him always having his stopwatch and the hourglass shaped paint on his face.

There are so many amazing scenes that I can't wait for her to see - The flashback, a certain father's reaction, "Who lives here?" scene, and of course oil and water being just a few.

this is one of the best episodes of any show ever! love it so much. The insanity, the relationships, the entire bridge scene with the music and style change. just insanely good. and there are so many small details everywhere and so much room for interpretation. I personally think jinx/powder was brought back to her childhood and mid fight she noticed what they were doing and held that last shot intentionally. She just lost everything again after a short period of hope. Feeling betrayed from her father figure and her sister, and now having to fight Ekko her childhood friend (or maybe more) while remembering their happy memories playing together as kids. She just wanted to die and not be responsible for yet another death. she knew Ekko would be fast enough to get away and she also knew if she survived this fight she'd have to go back to fighting the people she cares about. The grenade attaches to people as we've seen with "chuck" and some firelights in previous episodes but she didn't stick it to Ekko and she didn't throw it at him. she just put it right next to her. You can see that sad little bit of happiness that he stopped when he recognized powder in her and stopped beating her. Some people argue he turned back time and was able to dodge the shot or be quicker somehow and that's also a valid reading. But I don't think so, and I don't see him doing this any different than in their preview so I think it's more of a hint showing powder was always just a little faster than him and would have won this fight if she wanted to. Idk enough about the lore but people also pointed out he doesn't have that power yet. and also one where they say he magically remembered every single movement from her childhood and got around that way however that's supposed to work... valid readings but I prefer the emotional tragic one. Powders last choice

I agree mostly with you POV excerpt for Jinx not shooting him on purpose(!) - she is certainly skilled though- that's for sure. My thoughts on this fight are that it is mainly used to show us that one of these two characters moved on from the past (Ekko) and the other not (Powder/Jinx). This is a foreshadowing of his power later on as well as for the audience to visually understand what they want to really show with this battle sequence. Ekko accepted the deaths of his friends and mourned them - he even honored them on the wall as a reminder for himself. Jinx never mourned once her dead family- in fact they are practically never dead for her as they continue to live inside her as the negative voices. For Powder/Jinx stopped time in ep3 - she never had the chance to recover and move on from that day emotionally (that's why she didn't cut her hair since then and sometimes has this childish behaviour - having only very small boundaries with Silco etc.). Powder/Jinx is only ever running away from facing the past- she only learnd to either turn her back on it (Silco's teaching: let Powder die) or destroy it with explotions. She is not able to talk it out, because if she did, she would face a mountain of immense pain and ackowledgement/responsibilities of her actions that she feels, she can not cope with. In Act I she was always shielded from consequences by Vi and later on by Silco. In the battle sequence with them as kids it is meant to show that they used to play this game and Powder was so skilled she won it (probably every time). Both remember this but they use it differently. Jinx uses this to remember Ekkos movements from back then and aim for this as a prediction- assuming he has not changed since then (that's why in her view the firelight shows behind Ekko = childhood and Ekko sees the crow behind Jinx = transformation through death) - we literally see their POV's through the animals they see showing up behind each other. Ekko on the other side is using this knowledge to counter the movements and therefore is able to get the upper hand in this battle. One uses the past as exact reference and fails on it( Jinx) and the other learns from the past (and moves on). But in the end Ekko is hesitating to deal the final blow because of his feelings for Powder- he still sees a glimpse of Powder there when she is beneath him (in ep7 when he says that she belongs to Silco, you can see his eyes looking down while he says this and his slightly reluctant expession as if he needs to tell this himself that, just like he still needs to convince himself about that because in all honesty he doesn't really want to give up on her but it is also a fact that she killed his firelight friends) As for the bomb I completely agree- this is a suicide bomb for herself. She knows she couldn't move on and therefore does what she learned to to - turn her back on it (no escape other than suicide) by triggering a last explotion. She is devastated in that situation. First in her POV Vi "lied to her" and leaves her alone( again) to save a monster(=Caitlyn = enforcer = devil of her trauma), she still feels betrayed by her surgorate farther figure and then Ekko comes in between her and Vi and wins the fight she always used to win. She thinks that she has nothing left at this point because even her Jinx persona is not strong enough in this situation. This is what I think about the battle sequence- I might be wrong - if that's the case, then I think your approach is most likely the case. SPOILER ALERT for ep8 --------- It might also be the case she couldn't outplay her full potential because she snatched the gemstone (one hand occupied with holding the gemstone) but as hard as I tried to discover this by replaying I can never see that visually happening there. Therefore, I believe that this is not the real reason Jinx actually lost this fight against Ekko and was therefore so insignificant for her loosing this(!) battle, that it was not visually presented to us.

The fact that the shimmers have variants, it's kind of a good speculation from you. We have seen some variations (from ep 1 till now) like: 1. the one that shape shift human to somekind of animal/creature that has extra strength, power, speed. (the mouse, the "volunteer" guy), i think this is one of the very original type. this one is also the one that cause addiction the most, cause i can see those blobs on the head of the guy who helped Cait and Vi and how those addicts shape shift themselves into monsters and overuse the drug too much can cause something permanent like that. 2. the one that enhances, but doesn't turn you into a monster, it has some boost, like Sevika. this one prolly the one that Vi used in order to instantly heal. 3. the shimmer that people smoke in the club in ep 4, prolly like shisha with some small effects. 4. the one that Viktor use, it seemed to be a strong one that can cause change to cells, but Viktor is so weak and his immune system has been compromised so he will lose his cells (cells will die by time and there's no way to help it permanently) 5. a very special one in the next episode :D

Some things you noticed straight away that most reactors and people missed: - The butterfly landing on Marcus' gun being from Jinx's workshop and not a Firelight, and that it was seen on Progress Day ep 4 - Marcus' arm being blown off - Mylo's image growing behind Jinx when her mentality is breaking - The song was indeed the same one she was humming back in episode 1 - Caitlyn trying to shield Vi, only for Vi to push them apart to dodge the bullets Just kudos for spotting this stuff. I think it's dope how close attention you are actually paying to the show, really appreciating minor animation ticks as well

Honestly, for me the scene with Jayce working in the forge didn't strike me as being for thirst reasons. I really appreciated how it expanded Jayce's character by reminding us that before he became a scientist, and before he became a councilor, he and his family were humble hammer-makers. He isn't gym fit. He is shredded because he grew up as a labourer, not a policy-maker. He's strong, and he earned his strength through back-breaking work. And though he has a lot going on, he hasn't totally lost touch with his roots. It shows that he hasn't completely lost himself to his station yet, and still sees himself partly as that humble hammer-maker. And the no-shirt is a non-question for me. That room and his work looks sooo hot.

Your reactions a great. You really see and spot things that other reaction channels miss. Im still waiting on the reaction channel who finally understands Marcus' character though. It's pretty tragic and everyone glosses over it. I definitely felt something when he died here leaving his daughter without a mother or father in the world. He was thrust into a shitty situation of his own doing. He was a young hot headed dumbass enforcer who made a horrible mistake that cost him the life of a true friend and mentor (Grayson). He then was forced to play lapdop to Silco who was threatening his daughter. What was he supposed to do except comply? I could definitely see this sort of storyline being something that happens in real life ALL the time.

It's hard to sympathize with a character that reflects reality so much: a prejudiced cop who revels in brutality. Sure, maybe he changed in his older years, but it doesn't change the fact that many people deal with shitbags like him in real life all the time. Yeah, he was in deep into a shitty situation (of his own making), but the fact that he was scum enough to get there in the first place makes me have very little sympathy. He had his opportunity to 'fix' things (blowing up Silco along with himself), but he chose not to take it. Instead he allowed Silco to continue his control over him. If he'd blown them both up at least his daughter would have been safe. The way things went in this episode he's still dead but went down as a lapdog to a threat to his daughter that remains alive. In short: fuck Marcus, whose only positive contribution in life was serving as a cautionary tale.
@Mrcool179

@@kenjutsukata1o1 I dont agree at all. Blowing up himself and Silco would have meant his daughter would be hunted down and killed. Even if that didn't happen she would grow up without parents. And we all know how fucked up that makes a person. He was a young hothead cop who quickly learned his actions have consequences. Unfortunately too late. He thought a deal with Silco would be like a deal between Grayson and Vander. He didn't realize Silco would go back on his word about no one getting hurt. And how could he really? We don't know their backstory but I'm sure Marcus didn't realize the history. Silco played him like a fiddle and managed to trap Marcus in an unwinnable situation. If someone's threatening you and your family, what would you do? Would you comply or risk their lives for people you don't even know? I'd say 99% of people wouldn't sacrifice the people they know for strangers. It's like that situation where you can choose which group of people a train runs over: 1 close family member or friend or 5 strangers. The majority of people choose to SAVE their family member despite saving the 5 people being the smart decision for society.

And he certainly didn't give a shit about the lives of the people of the undercity. Marcus reaped what he sowed, and unfortunately many other people also reaped what he sowed. i really like the silco fat and complacent speech. it goes to show that the other heads of the undercity are used to their more lavish ways staying away from the grime everyone else lives in whereas silco was born and raised there and still is in that environment fighting for the revolution to better things for the residents. i think he's a very complex villan, he's doing the right things in the wrong ways because it can still achieve the change he wants for his people. He wants Zaun. The independence for his people. He's got the right idea with a flawed execution. i really like silco as a character. Like with Jinx, he could have killed her for being one of vanders kids but instead he sees a broken child who's been left behind and abandoned like he was and wants to help raise her to be strong like him so she's no longer able to be hurt. He once again is a great dad, just some flawed execution in parenting. but with the patience and time to learn he gives her i can't fault him. a lot of parents fuck up in aspects when raising kids. He's just a guy trying to save everyone. Honestly i really love silco as a character. he's a great guy with some flaws and some flawed execution.

Yeah, Silco is manipulative, this is how he runs his business. But he also cares about Jinx A LOT and you will see it later. At this moment he manipulates and lies, because he is scared. He is really scared to lose the only person he truly loves. He is expecting Vi to take Jinx from him, he is so concerned about it, he didnt want them to meet each other in the last episode. When you finish watching the whole Arcane show - I absolutely recommend you to watch "Therapist reacts to Arcane" series of videos. The woman therapist explains so much stuff (including Jinx and Silco relationship) - I wouldnt catch it, if she didnt explain it. And as the proof of quality she provided with her analysis - was Jason Spisak (voice actor of Silco) twitter response: "Georgia, as the human who brought #silco to life, without a doubt you are so spot on about all of this. A few scenes later we see Silco at the meeting with the Chem Barons. Behind them is a large about of flora and fauna thriving and healthy. After Silco releases the gases and goes to leave the room, you will see all of the flowers are now brown and dead from the poisonous gas. So where nothing can survive we can see things are about to flourish with the right care, and where things should thrive we see decay when not handled properly. God I freaking love this show!!!
