Big Bang is the first to have the item that you know as a light stick. The crown. Se7en had like a lit 7. But the popular lightstick designs ( big bang’s crown ,bts’ bomb, vixx’s V, SVTs diamond, 2ne1s heart wings) was started by Big Bang. I think they said G dragon designed Big Bangs light stick and then other companies jumped on the idea. Before people used balloons and other items so it’s not a new concept. But the trademark light sticks are a Big Bang creation.

D Lite is Daesung's stage name in Japan , Taeyang is Sol ( both names mean Sun ) and Seungri is VI ( Victori ) .BigBang introduced fandom names and official lights sticks . Some of y'all new kpop fans wondering why are they the “Kings of Kpop”. 1.) Idols were never considered as artists before with lyricism and production. They even influenced kpop artists of today to compose their own. 2.)They broke the stereotypes. Before BIGBANG, every idols in a boy group were seen as robotic, flower/ boy style and with synchronized dancing and singing. 3.) BIGBANG helped introduce EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and Rap. Before, it was mainly R&B, Ballad, and Pop. 4.) They popularized EPs or Mini Albums. It started when they drop their album “Always” and with the hit song “Lies”. 5.) Their sense of fashion. Especially GDragon. When you saw this video on the time it was published you will thought that it's weird, but today it's normal. They can predict the fashion trend. Period. 6.) They're the first to use lightstick. Well before it was called "glowstick". Before it was just balloons and color to identify kpop groups. 7.) They're one of the KPOP groups who go international first. They spread the Hallyu wave all over the world. It's even impressive because internet is not really popular before, but that didn't stop them for being a star. Times, Grammy's, KCA, MTV, Billboards, etc. 8.) They're the celebrity of celebrities. Most people adore and are a fan of them. KPOP groups, actors, politicians etc. Mostly from KPOP industry. They're inspired and influenced by them. 9.) The SONGS. BIGBANG doesn't just create catchy songs, Some songs, the lyricism is so magnificent. They're meaningful and filled with emotions you want to feel. 10.) Most fans don't idolized them because of looks, just pure talent. They were even called the "ugliest KPOP boy group" back in the days they were debuted. But people don't care for it, because the talent wins. 11.) Their stage presence. No one can beat their stage presence. The stage is powerful once they're performing. Every performance are eye catching. No lipsync required. All songs live. 12.) BIGBANG saved YG Entertainment. YG Entertainment before BIGBANG is just a small company. But BIGBANG were struggling for food to eat because they don't have enough money and GDragon composes a song every night. But all the hardships are worth it. 13.) They're still running in the KPOP industry for 13 years and now. So many scandals yet they're still standing on the stage. Performing. Hitting #1s on korean music streams without promotion or music videos published. That's why they're unbeatable. We can say, they're so many KPOP groups who are popular these days, but BIGBANG are untouchable. No one can imitate or copy beside themselves. Truly the legends of KPOP. They really deserved it. - From a fan since 2007.

The one thing that I don't understand was the "ugliest kpop boy band" branding on them when they debuted. Maybe it's only in Korea that they prefer plastic surgery looks to be called beautiful or handsome. I can't imagine the kind of society they have there. They're known for these plastic surgery addiction and it is so sad. Going back to Bigbang. They're totally not ugly. GD is so handsome and his androgynous looks made him acceptable for both man and women. TOP well undoubtedly one of the most handsome face I've seen in Korea. YB well he's a mix of Japanese/Korean looks and very charming. Seungri is boyish now manly decent and clean looking. And a charmer too. Daesung on the other hand was so unique. As he aged he became too sexy and appealing. When they debuted as fresh young boys, well that's how boys look like at that age. I commend them for not going under the knife just to please the most crazy judgemental society.

The parts (somewhere around 10:00 I guess) where they were dressed up and acting - they were doing a Big Bang parody/reenactment of a really popular Korean drama at the time called *Secret Garden* (which is HILARIOUS and you should watch it) and then around 12:10 they were doing a reenactment of a Kdrama called *Coffee Prince.* 20:05 they were having a contest on a show (Weekly Idol) on who could do the best version of the *Gwiyomi/Kiyomi* (cute) song. The trick to it is you have to be as nauseatingly cutesy (aegyo) as you can to win. Hence the baby voice and the little wiggles which made GD cringe in embarrassment and try to leave. XD I think Seungri actually won that game by being so over-the-top aegyo that he grossed everybody out. XDDD

Guys, just to let you know, in Kpop culture, skinship in boy groups is just common because they are comfortable with each other and fans love it but it doesn't mean that they are gay. Also, since most fans (female) in Korea are obsessed and possessive, they prefer seeing their male idols flirting with one another rather than seeing them dating women. That's how it goes in Korea, so don't be shocked if you hear the word "shipping" or "pairing" a male idol to his fellow member. Thanks.

Bigbang is nations boygroup before they became kings they suffered or enjoyed a lot of embarrassing skits together. They've been a group for 12 very successful years. Top's kissed GD, Daesung and Seungri. Lol only Taeyang escaped. XD It's from way back (early 2010s) when BIGBANG did a bunch of parody videos for the fans. They parodied popular korean dramas. (Boys Over Flowers, Coffee Prince, Secret Garden, Beethoven Virus.) but instead of female actors, one (or more) of BIGBANG would cross dress and play the female roles. The parodies actually follow the dramas really well! some even use the actual filming locations of the dramas.

BIGBANG is the first kpop group that every member started their solo career while they are still group. Their solo songs are also successful. BIGBANG is the first kpop group to have two toned rapper, which is TOP for low and GD for light. Back then, kpop groups doesn't focus as much to rapping. There are a lot of groups who doesn't have rappers. But it all changes when bigbang came to kpop industry. THAT'S WHY BIGBANG IS THE BLUEPRINT, BIGBANG IS THE STANDARD OF KPOP.
