lol ! Here's a different perspective you may not have known before. Jesus Christ the Messiah (peace be upon him) was taken to Heaven by Lord/God/TheCreator because some wanted him dead, so God saved him. The word christ comes from the Greek word 'christos' meaning chosen, the word messiah comes from the Arabic/Hebrew word 'messiach', again meaning chosen. Jesus did not speak Greek or Arabic or Hebrew, he spoke Aramaic. So, Who chose Jesus? TheCreator/TheGod/TheLord did. To do what? To convey that there is TheCreator/TheGod/TheLord and only ThatSupreme power should be worshipped and prayed to and NO idols/conjured up god/s by human kind, be it a man, a spirit of a man, a sun, a star, a moon, a tree, an animal etc etc be worshipped in any way. Anything that is worshipped besides TheGod is a god, that is false god, hence with a small ''g''. There is one Creator, hence why TheGod, the only One deserving of worship. What does Allah mean as a word? It means TheCreator/TheGod/TheLord. What does ''elaah'' mean as a word? It means any idol or conjured up god or gods that are false and do not deserve worship of any kind, hence why Islam rejects all gods but TheGod/TheCreator/TheLord/Allah. Why are all religions in opposition of Islam? Because they have a god or many gods but TheGod that is worshipped in someway or another. Have you ever read a Quran from start to finish? That you can answer for your self. (I recommend the Sahih International english translation, it's good). Best wishes. ------------------------------- .....btw..... Jesus did preach to worship the OneGod/TheCreator and not anything else, and so did his followers, peace be upon them all. This unsettled the Roman Empire because this idea of Monotheism went against their pagan beliefs where the emperor was both emperor and god. They persecuted the followers of Jesus and even attempted to kill Jesus, even a Roman Empire servant Saul of Tarsus was out to kill Jesus. Saul never managed to meet Jesus in real life but after Jesus was taken up to Heaven Saul said he saw a dream and said he will now preach the teachings of Jesus. Saul of Tarsus is also known in todays christianity as Saint Paul, so todays christians are actually on the teaching of ''Saint'' Paul which brings in trinity and godhead figure of Jesus and rejects Monotheism. -Jesus was commanded to preach Monotheism, which he did and early followers were Monotheistic believing people, which later changed with the Roman Empires paganism spreading -Jesus was commanded to preach ONLY to the Israelites, which he did, but after him Saul of Tarsus aka ''saint Paul'' started to preach to the Gentiles, which is the foundation of todays christiandom. -Jesus was commanded to rule for the circumsicion which he did, but it was taken out after he left -Roman Empire in 325 AD held a council, with empire alligned 'scholars'' to decide and VOTE on whether Jesus was to be worshipped or not, they VOTED that Jesus be accepted as god (in aliagn with the pagan beliefs of the Roman traditions) and ever since the trinity became the 'christian way' (not what Jesus preached), and sinc that time the Church has chronicled how many times the ''Bible'' has been changed, verses removed and verses added to SUIT this altered idea of trinity!

One small correction: There's not a labor shortage, there's a wage shortage. The airlines keep posting record profits, but their wages have not increased as much as other sectors. When I was in the U.S. Air Force based in England, we had a automated car / bus wash that would break down all of the time. As I would learn how to operate it, I figured out how to use it while it was broken. Law Enforcment would call me up, and ask me if I could wash their Police cars. Even though they new the wash rack was down, they waited until I came on to work on Swing shift. They were so grateful that I relieve them of a lot of work, that one day one of these Seargent's pulled me over, but recognized me, and thanked me for helping them out, that he didn't give me a ticket and let me go. The good thing is AFFF is now being phased out in place of SFFF, which is a synthetic foam, because the fluorines used in AFFF are like you said, incredibly toxic not just to the jets but also to people! AFFF is what’s currently used in most fire protection systems in hangars, these will eventually be changed over to SFFF or special provision will be put in place to stop it from spreading if it’s used (bund walls, huge drainage and waste collection) and I say this is a fire protection engineer who works with it frequently! :)

I disagree with the theory that it makes it more difficult to see cracks or other issues with the aircraft if it’s dirty on the other hand that’s exactly when you want to do a initial inspection of a aircraft, before it’s cleaned because you can see some cracks or damage to parts more easily because of the way the dirt flows around those cracks or even leaks out of cracks and also dirt helps find fluid leaks more easily also. Once that initial inspection is done, that’s when you clean the aircraft and all of the parts. I think that if you talk to any inspector or mechanic they will tell you don’t clean it until we get a chance to look at it first!
@CativaBR
@CativaBR 11 ай бұрын
I think its important to point out that a lot of the mentioned cracks are actually microscopic and detected by specialized equipment, dirt could interfere with the process in such scales.

Water scarcity during times of war has a significant impact on local populations. The increased demand for water by military operations can deplete local water sources, leading to shortages for nearby communities. This, in turn, affects daily activities such as drinking, cooking, sanitation, and agriculture. Displacement of local populations due to conflict further exacerbates water scarcity issues, as larger populations compete for limited resources in new locations. Lack of clean water and sanitation facilities can result in the spread of waterborne diseases and pose a threat to public health. Additionally, reduced crop yields, livestock loss, and increased food prices contribute to economic hardships for the affected communities, affecting their livelihoods and overall well-being.

Yeah, we get it. It's all America's fault 'cause WE'RE the ones who keep causing all the strife in the world. WE'RE the ones keeping locals from choosing decent political leaders. FYI, Skippy, U.S. Military regs require water conservation measures be utilized to avoid adversely affecting indigenous populations. If local populations would figure out that they SEVERELY OUTNUMBER the local despots and warlords, the rest of the world wouldn't expect US to step in and take the role of the Planetary Police.

Besides the normal 14 day inspections that included washing the aircraft, we would do a quick engine wash after the last flight of the day and wipe down the aircraft with a cleaner/preservative. Lots of sea spray to wash out. We kept the engine somewhere above idle for about 5 minutes, I don't remember the specifics now. But it was kinda cool.

Talk to any maintenance personnel for aircrafts; civilian or military. They will unanimously say that they're using five pieces of equipment all the time; soap, water, a full-body wetsuit, a bucket, and a sponge. It's by far in kilometers an easy job.

A clean aircraft saves 4% fuel not 2%. Most commercial aircraft are washed on a 30 day schedule. Foam cleaning chemicals only work on light oils and don't work on grease and oil streaks. Varsol is the best cleaning chemicals for the belly. The Nordic Dino was pulling a scam that you bought the machine, but their parts delivery was always inconsistent. What they wanted was to take over cleaning contracts, then they would fix the parts supply. This resulted in many lost union jobs.

"Covid hit and there was a shortage of labour due to low pay. As a result airlines turned to robotic washers, there was no other way" Seems to me there's an alternative solution to the problem right there in the premise... Spend a couple million on a giant machine or two, or give your workers you're forcing to do stupid hours a few bucks an hour more... Seems like a pretty damn easy choice to me. But then, I'm one of the "essential workers" who had to go to work all through Covid for crap pay and the work load of 4 people. I couldn't possibly be expected to be as "rational" as the pricks running the company

He estimated 1% but said a maximum of 2%, then told us the math with $3/gallon fuel. Let’s say it was 2% and $5/gallon, you’d be saving over triple the estimated $216000 shown in the video.

Super neat video! I always assumed aircrafts needed to be washed but never really considered in detail what that would require to accomplish. Ive gained a serious appreciation for aircraft cleaning crews. Im super glad you're doing it because it clearly needs to be done and i definitely dont wanna do it🫡

It is interesting that SpaceX decided that it's not worth cleaning their reusable first stage boosters. Any ideas why not?
@korakys
@korakys Жыл бұрын
Because they don't expect them to last even 20 flights. Most aircraft are only washed about 4 times per year. If SpaceX gets a very high cadence and does less "expendable mode" launches then they likely will start washing them occasionally.

I never like getting on a plane when you see out the window its all covered in dirt and grime and looks like its not taken care of. It gives the impression that the airline doesnt take care of their fleet.

About the aircraft carriers. They navy needed a better environmental safe detergent to wash stuff and simple green was born. Simple green was created to meet the US Navy’s requirements for a safer detergent. Now about hand washing/waxing aircraft. In the 80’s I worked for Del Smith’s- Evergreen Aviation as a ground crew person /// and - affectionately known by us employees as Air - CIA 😂😂😂, ,,and one thing they where looking at back then was getting into no water needed a product that you wiped on then off of a airplane that washed and waxed in one step. A trial run was on a Boeing 727 and I tell you it took a hole crew I think 10 of us to do that plane in 5 hours ; it was not fun. Another story about emptying a planes waste tanks. I was asked to go and retrieve A planes flight bag-big leather case that had all the flight stuff in it by a A/P mechanic. The plane another Boeing 727 that was converted to haul freight, parked on the other side of the airport out in the hot summer sun for at least 24 hours. When I opened the door , WOW what a smell. I got the flight bag. When opening the door on that Boeing 727 the one and only toilet was located straight across from the fuselage door right behind the cockpit. When talking later with the A/P mechanic how everything went ; I said fine , I got the flight bag- but the aircraft sure stunk like a outhouse. His response was thanks for bring that up. I need to get the aircraft’s sewage tank pumped out so it doesn’t overflow, because the sewage tank is located above the aircraft’s avionics equipment. It would be a bad day if the toilet overflows over the avionics bay😂😂😂😂😂👍.

Minute 3:20... I don't know where they could buy AVIATION JET FUEL for $3 a gallon! USA average is $6.49 Savings on washing a jet would be: 3,000 hrs x 2,400 gallons/hr x $6.49= $467,280 NOT $216,000
