Everclear - For Pete's Sake (rare song)

Art wrote this song indirectly to Pete Krebs, whom he had a feud with in the mid 90's (Pete was in the popular Portland band Hazel). Pete had dated Art's then-wife Jenny before and spoke out publicly against Art and Everclear, in particular after Art's domestic violence incident with Jenny.

The new 30th anniversary rerelease of World of Noise has most of this EP included as bonus tracks, but notably leaves out this song, I’m guessing probably precisely because of the context given in this comment. It’s understandable that Art wouldn’t want to rerelease the song for those reasons, though it’s a bit of a shame since this is one of my favorite songs of theirs from this era. Hopefully I can at least always find it here…or on my CD of this EP.
