Ramesh was a self confessed, indecisive person. First he couldn't gather the courage to tell Hem, about his marriage. Later, knowing the truth, he was not sure, if Hem would believe him, or not. Also he was hoping to find Kamala's real husband, Nalinaksha Chatterjee,in the mean time, and sorting out all these chaos. On the other hand, for a long time he didn't know, the bride he brought after boat wreck is not the same girl, married to him, and tried to adjust with her. And when he realized, he could not tell Kamala the truth, anticipating, she will kill herself in shame, if she knew, she was living with an outsider. All these confusion compelled soft-hearted, already dilemma ridden Ramesh to do what he did.
