When we make plural of woman it does not take 's' so we can make 'women employees'. But when we make plural of girl it takes 's'. Now understand, when we use 'woman employee', 'girl student', 'book shop' they become compound nouns in which the first word works like an adjective. And there is no adjective which is in plural.

mam according to you that we can't add "s" with preposition in condition 2 , so why are u adding s with stand-by i.e stand -bys

when a preposition is in forming a non, we can use 'S' to make its plural. only preposition cannot be pluralized to make plurals.
