When i saw the thumbnail I thought “huh i can create this myself easily, no need to watch a tutorial” but still i chose to click, man, what a hard hitting realisation that yeah its true that I could have created this myself without the tutorial BUT i learned so many new technique and shortcuts, using photoshop for 10+ years now but still learned so many things. I am like 2-3 days into photoshop editing, and I can claim it takes probably 2-3 years to have a flow in doing such things and knowing the each step, knowing how to repair something after finishing all the work and all of that.. It takes time to understand why you are doing this not that.

Sorry, but the droplets look fake. Too gray on the shadows, especially on the white parts of the picture. The original droplet templates actually looked better

What's the difference in creating shadows and highlights by Curves/Levels, Multiply/Screen blending modes of objects and Color adjustment layers?

good question! it depends on the situation but in general curves is easier and faster but sometimes it ruins the colors specially the shadow colors, but with solid colors I can adjust the colors later easily if I don't like them ... so I use both of them depending on the situation and you will get it when you try it with different scenarios
