BUT INSTEAD IS JUST A GUIDED MAN BY THE GRACE OF ALLAH... The meeting of Khidr a.s and Musa a.s has a very deep meaning how twoo worlds interact with each other. Thats why its mentioned in the surah kehf were 2 seas meet meaning where 2 knowledge meets (the world we live in and the world behind the veil) 1)The world we live: How to organize society that we live in according Gods laws 2)The spiritual world behind the veil: Knowledge or information about events that have to happen and divine intervantion to change the events according Gods plans (Destiny) Musa a.s was confused because acts that khidr was performing they didnt corespond with the commendements that he recived from God. Khidr a.s broke 2 of GODS commendemends the (6th You shall not murder and the 10th) than he explained him the meaning of his acts and who gave him the order (GOD) This reminds us again that no creation knows the future exept ALLAH (no Prophets no Jinns no Angels) and how things will onfold thats why the frase With the will of god (InshALLAH).

Khidr was a prophet , he asked Allah to live long enough to be part of the Ummah of the last prophet, just like when he Issa peace be upon him returns, he won't be a prophet but will be part of ummati Muhammad (saw). Khidr (a.s) is part of ummati Muhammad SAW , will live till judgement and he too shall taste death.

There's also some hidden meanings to this whole story. The fact that even when Yusha forgot about the fish, and thought the shaytan made him forget, wether it's true or not, was part of Allah's plan. Everything goes as allah plans wether shaytan interfere or not. It has a very deep meaning for the believers. Even if everything in life is hard, not going as you planned, goes against what you wanted it to be, as long as you believe in Allah's decree, and stay true to that, everything will turn out good for you and even better than you've wished for. Those who believe the most are those that their faith is tested the Hardest. Once i understood this, all my mindset has changed completely. I've also had the chance to figure out the wisdom behind stuff that happened to me that in first glance appeared like "bad" but only got me closer to Allah Azza wa Jall

Following is the conversation between Moses and Khidr from Chapter-18. It is clearly shows the Khidr was an human being and he had the special knowledge from God which Moses did not have at that time. God addressed him as "Servant of ours" which means he a messenger from God on specials duty. After their detachment what happened to Khidr God did not say anything else about him and only God knows what happened to him. 18: 65 Then they (Moses & his comapnion) came upon a servant (Khidr) of Ours, whom We had blessed with mercy from Us, and had taught him knowledge from Our Own. 18: 66 Moses said to him (Khidr), “May I follow you, so that you may teach me some of the guidance you were taught?” 18:67 He (Khidr) said, “You will not be able to endure with me. 18:68 And how will you endure what you have no knowledge of?” 18:69 He (Moses) said , “You will find me, Allah willing, patient; and I will not disobey you in any order of yours.” 18:70 He (Khidr) said, “If you follow me, do not ask me about anything, until I myself make mention of it to you.” 18;71 So they set out. Until, when they had boarded the boat, he holed it. He (Moses) said, “Did you hole it, to drown its 18:passengers? You have done something awful.” 18:72 He (Khidr) said, “Did I not tell you that you will not be able to endure with me?” 18:73 He (Khidr) said, “Do not rebuke me for forgetting, and do not make my course difficult for me.” 18:74 Then they set out. Until, when they encountered a boy, he killed him. He (Moses) said, “Did you kill a pure soul, who killed no one? You have done something terrible.” 18:75 He (Khidr) said, “Did I not tell you that you will not be able to endure with me?” 18:76 He (Moses) said, “If I ask you about anything after this, then do not keep company with me. You have received excuses from me.” 18:77 So they set out. Until, when they reached the people of a town, they asked them for food, but they refused to offer them hospitality. There they found a wall about to collapse, and he (Khidr) repaired it. He (Moses) said, “If you wanted, you could have obtained a payment for it.” 18:78 He (Khidr) said, “This is the parting between you and me. I will tell you the interpretation of what you were unable to endure. 18:79 As for the boat, it belonged to paupers working at sea. I wanted to damage it because there was a king coming after them seizing every boat by force. 18:80 As for the boy, his parents were believers, and we feared he would overwhelm them with oppression and disbelief. 18:81 So we wanted their Lord to replace him with someone better in purity, and closer to mercy. 18:82 And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphaned boys in the city. Beneath it was a treasure that belonged to them. Their father was a righteous man. Your Lord wanted them to reach their maturity, and then extract their treasure-as a mercy from your Lord. I (Khidr) did not do it of my own accord. This is the interpretation of what you were unable to endure.”

Speaker said Allah does not communicate except with prophet. I am not sure if this is a correct to say. Doesn’t Allah communicate with jibrel (AS) to prophets? Did not jibrel (AS) communicate with Mariam (Marry) (AS) with the permission of Allah? Marry was not a prophet just like Achiya wife of Ferro. It seems to me Allah direct communicate with prophets but with other such as ( Mariam and Achiya) communicated via Ark angel Gabriel. But when Achiya wife Feryoon was tortured before her death Allah showed her palace and she smiled. Any clarification from authentic sources would be appreciated.

You are incorrect. Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3149 Narrated Sa'eed bin Jubair: "I said to Ibn 'Abbas: 'Nawf Al-Bikali claims that Musa, of Banu Isra'il is not the companion of Al-Khidr. He said: 'The enemy of Allah has lied. I heard Ubayy bin Ka'b saying: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say 'Musa stood to deliver a Khutbah to the children of Isra'il. He was asked: "Who is the most knowledgeable among the people?" He said: "I am the most knowledgeable." So Allah admonished him, since he did not refer the knowledge back to Him. Allah revealed to him: "A slave, among My slaves at the junction of the two seas, is more knowledgeable than you." So Musa said: "O Lord! How can I meet him?" He said to him: "Carry a fish in a basket, wherever you lose the fish, then he is there." So he set off, and his boy set off with him - and he was Yusha' bin Nun. Musa put a fish in a basket, he and the boy set off walking, until when they reached a rock, Musa and his boy fell asleep. The fish was flopping around in the basket, falling into the sea.' He said: 'Allah held back the flow of water until it was like a tunnel, and the fish could glide. Musa and his boy were amazed. They set off the remainder of the day and the night, and Musa's companion forgot to inform him (of the escape of the fish). When Musa arose in the morning, he said to his boy: Bring us our morning meal; truly we have suffered much fatigue in this, our journey (18:62).' He said: 'He had not gotten tired until he passed the place which Allah had ordered him to go. He said: Do you remember when we betook ourselves to the rock? I indeed forgot the fish, none but Shaitan made me forget to remember it. It took its course into the sea in a strange way (18:63). Musa said: That is what we have been seeking. So they went back, retracing their tracks (18:64). He said: 'So they began retracing their tracks.'" Sufyan (one of the narrators) said: "People claim that there is a spring of life at that rock, no dying person has its water poured over him, but he becomes alive, and the fish came in contact with some of it, so when the water dropped on it he became alive." "He [the Prophet (ﷺ)] said: 'They retraced their tracks until they arrived at the rock to see a man covered in a garment. Musa greeted him, and he replied: Is there such a greeting in your land? He said: I am Musa. He said: Musa of the children of Isra'il? He said: Yes. He said: O Musa! Indeed you have some knowledge from Allah, which Allah taught you, which I have not been taught, and I have some knowledge from Allah, which Allah taught me, which you have not been taught.' So Musa said: May I follow you so that you may teach me something of the knowledge which you have been taught? (18:66) He said: Verily, you will not be able to have patience with me! And how can you have patience about a thing which you know not? He said: If Allah wills, you will find me patient, and I will not disobey you at all (18:67-69). Al-Khadir said to him: Then if you follow me, ask me not about anything until I myself mention it to you (18:70). Musa said: Yes. So Musa and Al-Khadir set off walking along the shore of the sea. A boat was passing by them, and they spoke to them (the crew) asking them to let them get on board. They recognized Al-Khadir so they let the two of them ride without charge. Al-Khadir took one of the planks (in the boat) and removed it, so Musa said to him: These people gave us a ride free of charge, yet you sabotaged their boat so that its people will drown. Indeed you have done a dreadful thing (18:71). He said: Did I not tell you that you would not be able to have patience with me? (18:72). He said call me not to account for what I forgot, and be not hard upon me for my affair (18:73). Then they exited the boat, and while they were walking upon the shore, they saw a boy playing with two other boys. So Al-Khadir took him by his head, pulling it off with his hands, and he killed him. So Musa said to him: Have you killed an innocent person who killed no one! Verily you have done a horrendous thing (18:74). He said: Did I not tell you that you would not be able to have patience with me? (18:75) - he (the narrator) said: - "This was more severe than the first one" - He said: If I ask you about anything after this, you have received an excuse from me. So they both proceeded until they came to the inhabitants of a town. They asked them for food but they refused to entertain them. There they found a wall on the verge of falling down (18:76 & 77). He (the narrator) said: - meaning leaning over - 'So Al-Khadir took his hand like this, so he set it up straight (18:77) so Musa said to him: We arrived at these people, they did not treat us as guests nor feed us. If you wished, surely you could have taken wages for it! He said: "This is the parting between you and I. I will tell you the interpretation of (those) things over which you were not able to be patient (18:77 & 78).'" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'May Allah have mercy upon Musa! We wish that he would have had patience, so that we could have more knowledge about that two of them.' He said: 'So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The first time Musa had forgotten.' He said: 'And a sparrow came, until it perched on the edge of a boat, and pecked at the sea. So Al-Khadir said to him: My knowledge and your knowledge do not diminish anything from the knowledge of Allah, but like what this sparrow diminishes of the sea.' Sa'eed bin Jubair said: "and he would" - meaning Ibn 'Abbas - "recite: 'And there was before them a king who would take every useful boat by force (18:79).' And he would recite: 'As for the boy, he was a disbeliever (18:80).'

You are wrong in a few points: first of all Quran doesn’t mention wether he is prophet nor Allah mentions his name.Making intellectual conclusion doesn’t make it right . This is the knowledge with God only.Secondly , saying he is still alive is impossible is wrong as hazarat Isa or Jesus according to Islam is still Alive and he didn’t die and he will return at the end of the time. All according to Quran.

Okay bother than where does the story of Kidr AS come. Especially where MUSA AS met with him and went on the journey. Furthermore with regards to the hadith you state about our Nabi SAW mentioning that no man who is alive at that time. Will not live more than 100 years. Then was Dajjal not around at that time. As one hadith stated that our Nabi SAW mentioned that some christians met with Dajjal on an Island they visited after being ship wrecked. And Dajjaal was chained and told them he was going to be released when it was his time. So is this story true or not, and is Dajjaal a man or not. Because it has been more than 1400 years since our Nabi SAW has passed.

Assalaam alaikum. THERE IS AN EVIDENCE IN QURAN TO SUPPORT THE FACT THAT AL KHIDHRI IS ALIVE TODATE WHEN ALLAH TOLD IBLIS INNAKA LAMINAL MUNDHWARIIN that is you are one of those left to live (example Isa a.s ) whereas he Iblis supplicated for a perpetual exixstence rather than dying when an appointed time expires. Now take the phrase YOU'RE ONE OF THOSE LEFT TO LIVE ( LONG ) and this living long is not eternal living because eternal life is never till after resurrection and after judgement. Our life spans differ from one person to another, some live longer than others and so al Khidhr was granted by Allah Himself to live much longer, of course till a certain moment when he'll have to taste of death as every soul will do.
