Wonderful and a very smooth runner. The Long Strokes are great, they have more of a 'buzz' than a 'scream' if that makes sense. Thanks for sharing this video

Nice work! Good compression and smooth action too. I'm currently building a Titan .60 glowplug engine with about 80% done so I can tell you've put in lots of work to get it running so well.
@OlliKarhun2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mark! I got interested about that Titan and found out you have a lot of vids abouy your build going on. Watched the number nine video a moment ago. Really liked your shop tour parts aswell and you showing a lot of extra ideas and solutions to many common workshop things. Great progress on the Titan and yes it really is a surpricingly lot of work to get these little things all lined up and neat and working. Keep up the good work and I am a new subscriber looking forward to your upcoming videos.

@OlliKarhun3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Kerry. It kind of did as the castings did come to me pre made by a colleague. All the machining was done by me. Cast parts can be seen in the picture at 4:08 - 4:10

I'm studying engines for some time now, and intent to build a model one in the future, but there is one thing that I don't get: how the journal bearing gets lubricated when running without a oil pump and crank channels? In this type of environment the only thing I can imagine is some kind of oil fog during the intake getting into the narrow space.
@CATech11384 ай бұрын
the pressure changes in the case during the piston stroke pump a small amount of oil through the crank journal...

@cytron87873 жыл бұрын
Hi, nice engine, do you need a special fuel for starting this type of engine or just diesel ? Thank you.
@OlliKarhun3 жыл бұрын
Normal model diesel engine fuel. I use at the moment 38% kerosene, 34% ether and 28% castor oil with a pinch of IPN. Back in the forties the original designer of this engine used: ’24 parts petroleum, 24 parts turpentine, 24 parts paraffin oil, 15 parts motor oil and 13 parts sulfur ether. This mixture was used, among other things, for the Swiss diesel engine Dyno 1. ’
