This was a great tournament tale! The way you told the story of your matchup against each other was hilarious, and I in particular appreciated the way you laid out the games you each had with wonky sportsmanship. Partly because of your channel, I've picked up the game and will soon be bringing an army to local tournaments, and I want to make sure my opponents have a good experience, instead of the alternative. "Rules for thee but not for me", I had an opponent like that and it really sours the mood. I took a break for a few months after dealing with a clown like that.

I'm very disappointed I didn't get the chance to face either of ya'll while I was there, had really hoped I'd luck into a matchup with one of you (first time going, had a great time and did about as well as I had hoped I would, 3-2, ranked better than both ya'll in the end :P although just barely). Did get to say hi to Andrew real quick right before the last game on the second day, but did not get to do the same with Steven at any point on the weekend unfortunately. Ah well, maybe next year! Glad ya'll overall had a good tournament as well. Actually got to play Chris, Andrew's opponent from his 4th game in my first game, he's a great opponent even though I did win, one of the more interesting games I had that weekend I'd say, hope I get to face him again sometime. As far as the tourny itself, I actually rather liked the 1000 point limit; felt like it didn't limit any particular army, as you could either bulk out like crazy or really go hard on the 'fun' toys and such, so never felt like I was up against a terribly imbalanced matchup. Saw a combination of stuff I was used to/expecting to see (had the expected matchup against a Last Alliance list, that seems like one of the more popular ones right now) and stuff that I had never seen before (way more Aragon, King Elessar, appearances than I've ever seen), which was a nice change of pace, always good to get a break from the local meta for a bit (especially since we had our big local tournament immediately the weekend after haha). Definitely disappointing we won't see 1000 pts again for a while, but with the new list building design they're going for next edition, I'm hopeful there will be plenty of creativity next year back at 850. I'm waiting quite anxiously to see what the new options look like so I can start planning, that's for certain!

@@NowForWrathGaming Yeah, I came in wanting to go .500 or better, and that's what I got, so can't complain even if some of the games did not go as well as I'd have hoped. First time going to a big regional tournament like that, so the first day I wasn't completely comfortable just going up to random folks and being all "Oh, I've seen you on KZbin" haha; second day I'd more found my footing, but then I never really ended up near you, so the opportunity was not presented. Next year though! Hopefully by way of a head to head matchup, fingers crossed, if not at one of the other events and such in the Southeast before then perhaps.
