Wow your channel has been my savior over and over. I've fabricated my own shock relocation kit and was worried my rear end would move so much it might hit the shock mount bar above it, this video has assured me that it won't. I have about 8 inches of clearance and thanks to this video I see the rear end doesn't move much at all. Thanks for what you do, it's just so awesome seeing other people's work and passions, and always an inspiration. I'll have a new video on my rear end work this weekend as I plan to finish it today. Man I wish I would’ve come across this video before I bought my shocks. I relocated my shocks on my 72 Camaro and installed Caltracs with the CR42133’s and only have about 1 3/4 inch of compression. Just ordered up the shorter shocks. Thanks for the video.

1982-2001 😐 81 is the last of 2nd gen. I'm so glad you have this posted it has made my decision so much easier 🤘🤘 I'm gonna be doing disc brake conversion soon and I wanted to relocate my shocks so I don't have to offset the calipers and plus to make some clearance.

The one thing I did notice with the demonstration which is pretty cool, that the shock on the right side of the axle has a lot more clearance room than the one on the left I noticed that with each demonstration of the pair of socks. Maybe it's an offset on the axle what is a cool demonstration I'm getting the kit for my 73 Nova thanks bro

Awesome video !!!! My 72 Camaro is running Calvert rear shocks CR34136 and I'm wanting to do a shock relocation as the OEM set up makes it impossible to adjust them I'm also running Calvert split mono springs and they're 1" lower in ride height

The shorter shocks should be what's in thier kit as standard. Looks alot better with more travel. Thanks for sharing.

How is that 10 bolt holding up? I just bought an 8.5 10 bolt for my nova. Running a 505 bbc hoping the rear end will hold up for a while. Street use mostly. Might see a little track time but not much. T56 trans 4.88 gears. Will probably change to 4.11

I've been doing a crap load of research on 8.5 for my 71 nova. If you build them right w/c clip eliminators you can easily run 1000,1100 hp np! Anything under 800hp they'll last forever. Don't let ppl lie to you, no need to put a ford product on your chevy! 👍

Hello sir. Are the carverts better did you notice any difference Between the shocks. Are the new ones gas shocks. Sorry so many questions, but if you don ask questions you don't get answers.

Calverts at top speed you have more control. Calverts are way better ride. Not sure if they are gas

@@ss396rat thank you for answers. It looked to me the normal shock was dealing with the bumps better. The axel looked smooth on the bumps, the reason I asked if they were gas or air shocks because look like a valve at base of shock. I could be wrong. Have a great day all the best from uk

Im confused because the part numbers show the shock not the ones with the single bolt at the top but instead has the the stock with eyelet style mounts
