Nova Scotia Parks: Taylor Head Provincial Park

Occupying a rugged windswept peninsula that juts 6.5 km into the Atlantic Ocean, Taylor Head Provincial Park is the perfect place to connect with nature and Nova Scotia’s coastal environments, including the 100 Wild Islands.
From the parking lot, follow a boardwalk to a beautiful white sand beach with turquoise waters (unsupervised). Relax in the sand, stroll the beach or explore 14.2km (8.8mi) of hiking trails. There are several small picnic areas, as well as change houses and vault toilets near the parking lots.
The park’s trails and walks below provide access to a variety of natural habitats, interesting geological features, wildlife, scenic look-offs, and secluded beaches.
