It's pretty sad to see female DJs being labeled as "play pushers" when they’re out there absolutely killing it. Take Amelie Lens, for example - her vinyl sets are incredible, yet she gets a lot if hate comments. This isn’t even my usual music scene, but I got so worked up about the unfair criticism that I watched live sets from Amelie Lens, Sara Landry, and other female DJs. These women are genuinely skilled! Now, I keep seeing videos of Novah, and I have to admit, I can’t find any videos where her skills are on display. Audio alone doesn’t count for me because it’s too easy to fake. She’s supposedly playing on the biggest stages every weekend, yet there’s no full set video showing what she can really do? That’s suspicious. There are hundreds of clips of Novah dancing behind the decks. She looks fantastic and dances well, but that’s precisely the problem. These clips fuel the hate comments on social media. I don’t mind DJs dancing, but if there are endless dance videos of a DJ and not a single full set video, it starts to look very suspicious like she's only playing pre-recorded sets.🤷

Cynthia spiering f2f novah. Check it out. Its only set i could find. I feel you on the hate woman get as djs. Shes doesnt just push play. She knows whats shes doing. Seeing clip of somebody dancing and not mixing doesnt meant shit. Nobody mixes during the build up to a drop.
