Clearly that doesn’t mean parents shouldn’t play their part too, but that shouldn’t mean that certain subjects should only be taught at home. Yes, disappointing reporting, both EU and US have similar laws. Moreover the numbers are just crazy, there is over 25k NGOs in Georgia, there are more NGOs per person (approx 1 per 150p) than doctors (7 per 1000). It's an affront to democracy.

Feedback to Novara team: I was watching the segment on Georgia for 15 minutes before it was explained *why* the law is seen as pro-Russia, and what powers it gives the government. I think it's better to explain the nuts and bolts earlier in the segment so we can be on the same page with the people we see giving their opinions.

I don't mind sex ed being taught to middle school aged kids and up (age 12 and up) b/c that's when they're _actually going through puberty_ and need that information. I don't think prepubescent children need "sex ed." 😒 I think they need information on good touch/bad touch and the fact that no adult should tell a child to "keep a secret" for them that the child can _never_ reveal, but that's more child safety than sex ed.

To be fair many girls in primary school are going through puberty however I still think sex Ed should be secondary school and include practical info on contraception and STIs ideally given by a nurse in yr9/10 and again in yr 11/12 when this info is far more likely to be of interest that in yr 7 when sex Ed is often taught.

Generally that *is* what sex ed looks like for kids at those ages. Some very basic information on what body-parts are called and about child safety, good/bad touch etc. Stuff which is known to reduce the risk that children are victimised and which also gives them the language and confidence to alert adults around them to abuse/potential abuse.
