amazing. totally gonna experiment with this modulation setup and see how it plays with other parameters than pitch too!

Good idea! Don't know why I didn't think of that!

“Enjoy infinity” 😅 could be the name of a track. I’ll check on mine if I have the same result. Nice sharing.

Would be interested to know your results! Thank you for watching.

Really love your videos. Gives me a lot of new inspiration for summit patches. I made a video showing how you can control the summit with a joystick if you are interested. Looking forward to more tips and tricks and I’m quite sure I will make a track featuring infinitive pitch change sometime in the future :)

Glad to hear that, thanks! I just checked out your video with the Pineal Gland joystick. Really well done. So the joystick works like an x/y axis with positive/negative values in left/right as well as up/down directions? Anyway it looks like a lot of fun.

@@pjamesbridge Thanks for the kind words! Yes it works like that. I connected it so that the ExprPED1 is Y axis and BrthPED2 is X axis. You have to choose either negative or positive value. its not bipolar so 0 modulation would be when Y is at the bottom and X to the left. I put it in the left bottom corner for no modulation. Its quite handy and I would say the best studio gadget I ever bought. Use it on most of my patches now. It's very fun to use and you can for example save very "clean" patch and then make it more complex with the stick without changing a lot of onboard controls and get lost.

@@prosjektlyd7155 very cool! Thanks for clarifying. And I agree with your video that all of the hands on modulation options (in addition to the keys) are important. My background is keyboards so until recently I often forgot to take advantage of the mod wheel, after touch, etc, but they are so helpful. There's almost no reason not to use them at least to have the option for mods in every patch.

@@pjamesbridge Yes, I love to have the options. one patch can suddenly have a total different feel. I enjoy the "manual" modulation a lot and have found some favorite routings. these I use a lot: aftertouch for vibrato effect, velocity to decrease filter attack value (a routing I found very expressive), Animates 1 and 2 for infinite reverb and delay, Joystick and Mod wheel for more complex routings. I can see you have keyboard background and I really enjoy watching :) I never learned to play an instrument but my love for music and sounds got me here. Im more comfortable composing/record midi notes in my daw and make it do the playing ;)

@@prosjektlyd7155 nice! I'll have to try some of these! Especially velocity for the filter attack.

great idea! I am assuming that little blip is coming from the envelope when it restarts the cycle in loop mode. I didn't try myself but you might wanna try it with an LFO in sawtooth mode.
@pjamesbridge3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The blip does occur when using an LFO as well but in all cases it's possible to kind of cover it up a little bit or at least distract the listener from the blip. Not perfect but good enough for me!

@@pjamesbridge tbh. I wouldn‘t have noticed any Imperfektion if you wouldn‘t had mentioned it. Sounds great in your example here
