Happy you didn't have to have surgery and your hand is doing good. I drove a razor knife into the palm of my left hand one time. It was a stanley box cutter or utility knife whatever you want to call it that used a razor blade. I had just changed the blade so it was nice and sharp. I was leaning far out cutting shingles off the edge of a roof from underneath and above my me while standing in a basket on a lift. I was pulling the knife back toward myself with my right hand and I was holding the shingles with my left hand. I hit a tough spot and pulled harder so as it come through I couldn't react and stop pulling fast enough not to cut my hand aswell. The blade went in all the way to where it comes out of the knife body and went 2 inches across my palm. I was lucky like you and by some miracle didn't cut anything important. It took a while for the soreness to go away and it bruised the top of my hand like the bottom of your hand did. I went back to work that day after having it sewn up as it happened within the first hour of working that morning. Couldn't use my left hand but I helped as the gofor guy that afternoon and for a week and a half afterwards. For awhile it wasn't fun after I had to start using it again. Glade you're doing ok. Try to work it some to help it from getting stiff and being sore when you start using it again. Work it like you showed with your thumb and partially making a fist. Hope it's better sooner than late. 👍

Hi William, I felt the pain as I read your story, it sounds very similar to mine. I've been working it out and have been working around the farm the last few days, it seems to be doing really good. Thank you for your story and sentiment, I really do appreciate it. - Dave B.

Hi mate, Just watched you video. Fantastic news that you'll recover quicker and better news that the cut wasn't deeper and longer. I trust your spirits are higher now with the news from the surgeon that you don't need the surgery that you were expecting. Your LAJ track plan and bench work looks great. It should keep you entertained for quite some time. Looking forward to future videos. Take care now and remember, we are all here to support you and your channel. Wishing you a fast recovery. The N scale versions are coming out again soon from Micro-Trains, and Atlas still has there's on pre-order lists, but you can get Athearn HO versions right now on Trainworld.com. Yeah I made a huge mistake and payed for it.

I noticed now you're doing an HO scale layout. But I noticed you do N-Scale too. That's what I've been working on is an N scale. I'm going to check out some of your videos see what I can learn. I didn't find your channel by accident. Boomer dioramas mentioned you in a post and discussed your injury. I'm not a gore seeker but more of the model railroads KZbin Seeker. I hope you make a full recovery and are back at it soon.

Hello, thank you for visiting my channel, some of my video's are better than others, but most are not so good. Boomer is a great modeler and a very guy. I don't usually post personal stuff on my channel , but this injury changes my plans and maybe the way I model from now on so I needed to address it. Thank you for your well wishes, it's much appreciated. - Dave B.
