He started screwing around and messing with Deku who had been trying to hold his temper but after a particular comment about how he blew up the allmight figurine Deku received from his mother the fight began and ended with Deku having multiple injuries and half the gym on fire

Moreover, Monima has to know something about different kinds of quirks, so Midoriya's hero analysis is something he can be interested in. Todoroki doesn't look like he cares about the quirk status, but it's still uncertain whether they'd have an opportunity to become friends
