@mistyybrooke it's not about the desire to leave. it's about dehumanising the people who currently live like that. it's about the idea that even if you do everything right and play by the books, it can happen to you. it's about acting like poverty is something that disappears when you play the game by all the rules, and othering the people who live like this as the ones who simply didn't play. my father has a phd. my mother went to one of the best schools in the country. education doesn't magically fix systematic issues across an entire country. it's about pointing and saying, your life is undesirable. i would do anything to not live like you.

You don’t have to study to avoid this, the key ways to avoid this are 1. Stay conscious, think before you make decisions 2. Don’t have kids unless you can afford them until they are 18(and after) 3. Don’t get married when you’re in love, thats what boyfriends are for, get married when it makes sense for you personally. 4. Work hard consistently at whatever you do, whether you’re a student, a housekeeper, whatever if the hard work never pays off then don’t have kids.

Being in poverty is an issue, which is why people do you need to study so they don’t end up like that too. Children are growing up w little to no food, one of my bsfs pretty much didn’t eat any food at home to feed her siblings because her parents didn’t work and sold their food stamps for money. Studying is so important if you want you and your children to have a roof above them, food every single day to eat, and simple things like a bed to sleep in or a bug free house.
@iheartsukiКүн бұрын
@@Caleighhhhhhhh it isn’t just studying that’s an issue though. the environment and the prices of everything as a whole, and how little you get paid for jobs is also an issue. yes, studying will get you somewhere, but how far will it get you if prices are going to still hurt everyone just the same.

@@Caleighhhhhhhhi studied until 2 or 3am almost every night in school. All straight A's. But because everything is so expensive these days, all my years of hard work did not pay off in the slightest. Point is, it doesn't matter how hard you study when rent is about $2000/mo in most areas, taxes (aka greedy politicians) take %25 of your income, and a box of crackers is $7. The paycheck that you've worked so hard for means nothing when it's all going to someone else.

Throughout school, I’ve noticed people who are just throwing their life away because they don’t care to pick up their pencil and learn. And for that, I just fear for their future. The littlest things can impact your life, and some people just don’t understand how hard life is financially. Getting an education is not just the satisfaction of saying you graduated, but it is the ability to have a variety of job opportunities to help you achieve things for your future. It is very important to study, I think this video gives some great advice.

Some people may already be wealthy and will inherit their family’s money whenever they get older, which is also great. But education is always important, wealthy or not.

Let me just scream this from the back: college degrees don’t always equal success. Sometimes you can work for years to get your degree and realize it’s miserable to do that job for you or you can’t find a job in that field at all. Or when you do find a job, it’s still not enough to live past this kind of lifestyle due to student debt, being a single parent, medical problems etc. Y’all are too young to understand how adult life works I think

Reminder that studying needs to be balnced well with phone time and doing other stuff because if you constantly study that can lead to burn out and NO studying at all!
