When Sonny said Alexis was ashamed of him, I felt that. If you know the history, and I mean watched when it aired, Sonny is so right. With Sonny, Alexis was head over heels. In the presence of others, she lowkey treated him like a dirty secret. At the end of the day, his profession is an issue but what Alexis can’t stand the most are the choices she has made and how they reflect on her. Fast forward to what we now know about her and Ric, Julian or Jerry Jacks. She makes these choices and then tries to control all of the consequences. She represented him when he was dangerous, she slept with him when he was dangerous, she lied about paternity because he was dangerous but also so she wouldn’t have to face the backlash of her choices up until that point. To admit she had a baby with the dangerous man she once defended but now condemns to the highest mountaintop would make her the biggest fool. She can want to protect Kristina and save face at the same time. They aren’t mutually exclusive

I think the biggest issue Alexis had with Sonny was she was crazy I love with him and as soon as Carly pretended to be dead he ran back to her. She didn't want him to choose Kristina, she wanted him to choose her. And when he didn't she saved face by saying he was dangerous. And she had to keep the baby away. I think if they would have worked at it they would have been a way better power couple than Sonny and Carly. They were edgy but funny and still sexy. Carly and Sonny were boring and after awhile they were dumb,

I agree somewhat but to be fair, Alexis was going to tell Sonny he was the father, but she freaked out when her sister died as a result of being caught in a mob crossfire (if my memory serves). It's like Alexis went into post-traumatic stress or something. And as a result she went into SUPER HYPER-mode to protect her daughter - the daughter OF a mobster. That's how this "Selfish Alexis" was born.

You know there's something wrong when Carly is the voice of reason. Everyone blaming Alexis- I'm a Sonny/Alexis fan, but her sleeping with him does not mean she loses any right to protect her daughter. She is right about his lifestyle. How has it affected Morgan and Michael? of course this is all also bad writing for GH. They want it both ways- They want Sonny to be some kind of hero and saint, but a cold criminal at the same time. It doesn't work.

When she slept with him, She could see all his good parts. She *knew* all the good in him. Hell, she was in love with him. But as soon as things didn't workout, Sonny turned into this "horrible, dangerous, evil man" that she was so morally above and better than. As much as I do like her, Alexis has always been so sickeningly hypocritical

@@nevermindmyname813 its a story as old as time with Alexis, she loooves the dangerous men until she remembers they are complicated. Then its "omg youre horrible!" Sonny, Ric, Julian. Atleast Sonny and Julian werent outright sociopaths. Ric especially at this time was a sociopath. It was amazing how Alexis just seemingly forgot or ignored at this point that he had held Carly hostage in a panic room so he could steal Morgan and give Morgan to Elizabeth.

I'm at a loss for people who think that just because a woman has a one night stand or a FLING with a dangerous man and then ends up pregnant why then that means that the woman shouldn't be afraid for her child's life...it would be one thing if for example in the case of CARLY the woman had planned on having the child but in BOTH Alexis and Elizabeth's situations they hadn't planned on having a child NOR were they in a committed relationship with the man at the time of getting pregnant... Carly on the other hand desperately wanted and PLANNED on having children with Sonny and she fully intended on having her children live in a dangerous environment (not to say that Carly doesn't care about her children's safety BUT Carly made the CHOICE to put herself and her children in the dangerous situation they were in)...so while I feel sorry for Carly's children I really don't feel that sorry for Carly...whereas I did feel sorry for Alexis' situation with Kristina...she honestly had NO intentions of Kristina being apart of Sonny's world but unfortunately she wasn't able to do that...although admittedly some of the bad things that happened to Kristina were not directly related to Sonny's dangerous life...

Really Ric? Sonny destroyed Alexis life!!! Alexis knew exactly what she got herself into when she slept with Sonny! Nobody would had never been in that situation if Alexis would had just told Sonny that Kristina was his daughter in the first place! Sam's baby would still be alive and Kristina wouldn't be scared of her father and she would had known her father better!

@yeongiia When I posted that comment TWO years ago, it did seem to me that Carly had been hit with a dose of reality, because of Michael's shooting, and could understand Alexis and Elizabeth's points of view regarding their kid's safety. Look Alexis makes me mad! She knew what Sonny was when she slept with him and Kristina is a result. She doesn’t have any moral high ground in this situation. Anytime someone had sex they can get pregnant. That is a fact of life. Alexis does not have the right to keep Kristina from Sonny. She slept with him being aware that there was a remote possibility she could get pregnant. At that moment she excepted the possibility of Sonny being in her life forever. And that was her choice. It’s not Kristina’s fault that her parents didn’t think ahead, and that her mom decided she didn’t have a right to her father or any medical assistance he could provide. Alexis willingly put her daughter’s life in jeopardy because she refused to tell Sonny the truth, and Carly with a mother’s heart and guilty conscience had to tell Sonny the truth. A position that Carly shouldn’t have had to be in the first place. If Alexis was truly afraid she should take him to court and get sole or primary custody.

I can't believe the nerve of Alexis and Ric. Sonny has more self restraint than anyone gives him credit for because these two were so out of line at this point. Alexis wants Sonny to have his child (Morgan) tested for Kristina (something like this could be very dangerous for a child that small) and make these fatherly decisions, yet she doesn't want him to be apart of her life. BUT she was going to let Ric be her father, the man who kidnapped Carly, and put unborn Morgan's life at risk (if memory serves correctly). She carried her, but she didn't create Kristina by herself. Kristina is every bit as much his child as she is Alexis', so Alexis has absolutely no right to try to keep Sonny away from her, especially since she knew EXACTLY what she was doing when she slept with him.

This is quite laughable watching this again. Because today 2008 Sonny barely even spends time with Kristina and he made such a stank of it here. Ric is more of a daddy to her then Sonny ever has been.
