That horn maybe a unique bit of history. I am sure you read about the doodle bug disaster in the 40s. The south bound doodle bug collided with the north bound locomotive. The collision point was on the bridge there above you. The locomotive with its weight and speed pushed the doodle bug a few hundred feet north were it exploded due to its fuel tanks being pierced by the impact. That could have been the horn from the locomotive broken away on initial impact. And falling into the river. This would be worth a bit more research and maybe a good donation to the Cuyahoga Falls historical Society. Great recovery.

That's a real possibility, if that's the case, it would make an awsome video. I meed to hookup with the historic society so they can help confirm that's what it is. After I complete the video, I will donate it to the historical society. Thanks, I knew about the doodlebug but didn't put 2 and 2 together. It all makes sense.

That would make an awesome video. The Doodle bug was a PRR Class GEW275 gas rail car. The Locomotive that collided with it is a Penn RR I1SA2 series. I tell you, there is a lot of info on these on the net. Pictures of front of The gas rail car has a striking resemblance to your horn. Kind of chilling when you think about it. The way they described the collision, the rail car obviously took the brunt of the impact and I imagine all sorts of metal and hardware flew off the car and into the river at that point.
