What a stunning video! The Canadian Rockies look absolutely magical with the ice starting to form. The climb on "Shades of Beauty" WI4 is mesmerizing - so beautiful and inspiring to watch. Thanks for sharing this amazing day out! 🧊🏔

Cool. Nice start to the season. This was a memory trigger for me, as I climbed this route once, in late November of 2001, or maybe 2000. I was having an angsty moment, and drove up from Canmore looking for something to do. I had heard this route was in, and I'd never climbed anything that far up the Parkway before. It turned out to be the right thing for the day. I soloed it, trailing a rope for the descent. It was a little fatter than in your video, but the top out on the first steep pitch was basically dirt and felt a little cruxy.. It obviously was ok, but I was glad to get home that evening. Take care, and enjoy!

Nice video and great climb. I climbed that last Feb. with very different conditios obviously. Also I was curious do you just have the go pro on a mount on your helmet or do you use one of sticks in the backpack?
@alpinegremlin440826 күн бұрын
Yeah I’ve climbed it a handful of times and that was definitely the thinnest! Yeah my GoPro is just on Super Wide setting on my helmet.
