Deer are a curious animal. We were camped back in the 80s. It came a ice storm that night. The next morning I melted the bottom of my boots being to close to the fire. I went to the woods sat up on a big rock. I heard something crunching in the ice. There was a four pointer coming the same track I had walked. He was smelling the scent of those melted boots. He ain’t smelling nothing anymore.

After highschool in the early 80s . I moved to Crystal Lake IL. From southern Indiana and I believe in 85. Nole Feather was giving a seminar at the county fairgrounds so I went to attend and he got me so interested in the rattling I started and have never stopped since. I have called in so many bucks well not only bucks but doe as well over the years. I have moved back to INDIANA and find rattling for me is always the best during the pre rut

I have learned a lot from these men and other . I had to teach myself the hard way until these men started making videos and doing hunting seminars and a wildlife shows. Just Amazing. Dan the meat hunter. I also added several techniques to my rattling. I would put a grunt call in my mouth during the pre rut and early rut. From a tree stand on ground blind. A lot was blind calling in good deer areas with good sign. Also taking the horns and scrapping the tree. So just sit and never interact with the deer. I loved interacting. Me vs a very very smart buck. What a challenge! I did not always win. Always be ready and if rifle hunting take the first best shot. You may not get another one. I have tons of stories from hunting. Gif has been very good to me. Thank you Jesus’ Amen 🙏

@@zachhawes4937Yes, Noel was busted for it in the 90’s. He was buying large bucks and would shoot them with a bow on camera while the cage they were released from was just out of frame. Not many people were shooting really big bucks on camera back then, so he was trying to get ahead of the curve. Grifter.

What's weird is at 40:45 when Dan is nocking an arrow on you can see he has sights on his bow. Dan has always been an instinctive shooter so I'm not sure why he has sights 🤔

Bunch of farm-raised deer being pushed to these guys. Hate to say it, but these guys got desperate for viewership/fame and cheated. Look how the deer keep turning around and going back down the trail the other way. You can even see the guys that are guiding the deer to them. The footage keeps jumping around when the deer are "coming in". Plus, that corny music is just horrific. This seemed authentic at first, but I just lost all respect for Dan after seeing this.
