You said it, Stef: the Good the Bad and the Ugly in that lot. Perhaps the word you were trying to remember for the Eagle nib was 'shamrock'? According to "The Book of Numbers" the Conway 85L colour was 'emerald'. Best wishes to all in "the Motherland", as we used call it.

Yes "shamrock" was the word i was looking for Bruce. The emerald CS will be a stunner once done. Many thanks👍

That is the Big Red new modern release from Parker. It came out with a huge marketing campaign "The Big Red Writes Again". They ran lots of ads and also made drinking glasses, small garbage cans (sorry, bins) and other items that are collectable. I believe it came out in the mid in 1969/ 1970. They were very popular and even made a Bicentennial model commemorating the Bicentennial of the United States of America in 1976. They came in many colors and you can find them with business adverts on them as well. As far as I know it only came in ballpoint and a felt tip marker model. However, a Cross Solo fountain pen section and nib unit screws in perfectly with no modification. And the Cross Solo nib was made by Sailor in Japan and branded for Cross so it is a great nib and makes for a fun pen . I have a few. My first one was in the 1980s.

That ballpoint Parker Big Red is a repro commemorative tribute to the first big red if I remember correctly. It came out in the 80’s or thereabouts.

There was a similar pen that was called a stylograph and look similar to a ballpoint having a tiny tube for the feed and a fine wire inside the tube as a sort of nib

Yes i have had these stylograph pens before but they are not for me. Thank you for your comments.
