Your hair is so pretty! I love how you styled it here. I tease my baby about not having hair like that (she’s got the genes but it didn’t happen).

You've put Model Home on my radar. A cozy rec: A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers if you haven't read it yet. It's like a warm hug. Happy Holidays 💌

They are from Amazon. Here’s the link! a.co/d/cpIvSJs but be warned they are battery powered and if you leave them on they just die.

I'm using Everand as well but they have not changed it up in Europe (where I'm living) yet. I'm PRAYING it will not happen soon!

Based on what I have read, Everand was changing it bcoz they want to have a deal with the Big 5 corp. But they will still have a curated available audiobooks that doesn't need credit. Money speaks a lot on this, which is... Sigh. If you look at it though, Libraries pays more for ebooks and audiobooks due to the limits.
@ReadingWrylyКүн бұрын
I’ve heard that about libraries and audiobooks! Do you work for the library system?
@WrathsteinКүн бұрын
@@ReadingWryly No, I don't. I just know that they pay 150% HARDCOVER price for E-Books, and it's only for 2 years multiple use. Some publishers even have worn out usage number. It's all about the Licensing and Intellectual Property Rights stuff. But Libraries needs to do it to get better funding, bcoz the more people uses it, the more governments will have to fund it. That's why I think maybe Everand was forced to change their business model, as it does seem unsustainable. They need more Subscribers and famous books attracts that - specially those who wants to leave Audible. But it also seemed to me that they're not the one who are really aiming for bigger profits here, it's the Big 5 Publishing (which is the biggest in the world, not only the US) - they probably want more portion of the pie before they allowed their books to be available on the platform.

I used to use Everand constantly but when I switched to the new subscription, they stole my money and didn’t give me access to anything. Customer service went radio silent 🙌 sooooo hell no to that service anymore 😅 Also loved the wrap up!

Ugh, Everand. I’m also peeved with the update. And my December credits didn’t come so I emailed them and they’re like omg so sorry, here’s your credits plus 3 more for the inconvenience. I’m like wow thank you! They took the extra 3 away the next day 😒
@ReadingWrylyКүн бұрын
🫢🙃omg. That’s so unprofessional. What a total bummer. I get that they can’t afford to make it “unlimited” like they claimed before. But this seems too far in the other direction and frankly, it’s sloppy business. 👀 They’ve been in limbo for at least a year already and it’s still not panned out. But unfortunately we don’t have as many options as we should for audiobooks.

I think I’m stuck in Everand Limbo because I had that thing where when people signed up with my link I got a free month, and since it hasn’t run out, they can’t make me switch over yet?
