Hopefully I can clear up a few things... 1. I write the lyrics, I am not religious. Each members individual belief is their own personal business, but as a band, we are not a Christian band. We don't preach religion, we promote individual thought. 2. This song is about my daughter. 3. "Heavens" is a commonly used term in astrology to describe the Infiniti of space. Not everything written is as it seems. Search the deeper meaning in the words & they may have an entirely new meaning to you.

I assure you, I'm not dying. It's a spine disease. It's not life threatening, just quality of life.
@arlinekuhr71010 жыл бұрын
Very simply put....this song was written for our daughter Rhiannon Autumn Kuhr, her middle name is Autumn= (Autumn Reflection) she was the strength Paul needed to deal with his multiple spinal diseases. She was too young at the time to be in the video, she was only 3 but @ 2:09 there is a picture of Rhi & Paul hanging on the wall. (That was the director Tony's lovely idea) So yes technically she's in the video. Twilight Innocence & Swallowed By The Moon are also written for Rhiannon.

Can't believe it's been 13 years since this upload. I was in high school when listening to it. Now I have a daughter myself and the lyrics make more sense to me than ever. Life is hard sometimes. But looking at her peaceful face while sleeping, just like in the video, makes me want to face whatever life throws at me. Truly a relatable song that I will listen for all of my life. Thank you very much.

I remember yesterday The rain fell to the earth For I dream of your arrival And color my dark world with faith Knowing you would be the strong one To keep my focus in close view I thank the heavens above For the angel beside me today The guardian of my sanity The one who will save my soul If I ever doubt the faith I hold I only need one smile from you And an autumn reflection will deliver me to your arms Someday you will understand How much you mean to me for every day that passes me by I long for the person you will become I thank the heavens above For the angel beside me today The guardian of my sanity The one who will save my soul If I ever doubt the faith I hold I only need one smile from you And an autumn reflection will deliver me to your arms I am stronger now Since you came into my life With a thought of your smile I remember yesterday

It sounds like conditioning. It's just something you build up a resistance to over time. Also, make sure you push with your diaphragm and not your throat. If you're serious about singing metal and protecting your voice, check out the DVDs by Melissa Cross. She's helped many vocalists in the metal scene.

My daughter's name is Rhiannon, too. I also named her after the song that I heard on the radio in 1975 when I was 8 years old. I promised myself then that, if I ever had a daughter, I would name her Rhiannon. She is a mother now. Her daughter's middle name is Autumn. The music and lyrics of this song, Autumn Reflection, go straight into my heart and soul. So profound.

Just wanted you to know that I use to play this song on my FM radio station that I had on the air for a couple of decades, pirate FM metal radio,. WMTL 88.5 fm for a while, 91.5 fm during another era,. around 20 years that the station existed it acquired a ton of listeners. I had one beast of a range with the 10 story tower that I was able to put up on my property. And THIS song right here,. was heard many a weekend with stereos of listeners cranking it up. LOVE this song and want to thank you for it. The station was in West Palm Beach and lasted from '87 until the 2000's when I started slowing down on doing the shows. I'm old now. Those days are gone. But fond memories were just relived upon hearing the song again today. Thank you

Novembers Doom gives a Gothic spin on Death Doom Metal -- Paul can sing both Gothic Metal and Death Doom Metal. He's good at the clean vocals. I came to know Paul over the years as he played with my my book cover designer. Novembers Doom hints to God in their lyrics but don't mention it.

Has it ever happened to you that you search for music, quite at random, to find something that reflects what you feel inside. Hours after hours, bands after bands you keep trying and yet you don't find that music that envelopes you and suddenly you click something which makes you feel you're like engulfed, you're enchanted, you're possessed by the sound. This is what i'm feeling now having found Novembers Doom. My only regret is why I found them so late.
