VE3SVQ-THE SHAKY KEY

One of the questions new CW operators often ask is where can I find people sending slow morse (QRS). You can scroll the bands looking for them, but here is another way. Whether just copying or looking for a contact try the Reverse Beacon network. It will definitely help.

This is one of the beauties of the Reverse Beacon Network, you can set your freq, set the speed and see what's about.....great for a newcomer!

Absolutely! I often recommend this to my CW students when they ask how to find QRS QSOs to listen to (or even join if they're brave enough LOL).

It was a great idea and has definitely helped my copy speed. When I take a break from work I can quickly check if anyone is around spend a few minutes of CW time then go back to work. I do this several times a day.

Thanks for the quick video on the Reverse Beacon Network. It was very informative and easy to follow. I am currently listening to somebody at 10wpm from Poland, and I am able to copy bits and pieces of it. I've only been through BC1, so I guess if I knew a few more of the characters, I'd do a little better, BUT this is great being able to follow along with somebody that's not transmitting at 24wpm.

Agree. Setting it for a speed that works for you is a great idea. When I am tired I usually have it around 11 wpm. Other times I want to challenge myself and use between 12 and 15 wpm.
