$1,400 in fraudulent charges 2 weeks after opening account on the virtual card they issued to me. Several weeks and no updates on crediting my account. No answers from them! horrible service!

I'm so sorry to hear that!! I haven't run into any issues like that in the 2 years I have been using Novo. Did someone steal the virtual card number and just buy random stuff? It's a mastercard, so I believe you can reach out to them as there are protections with them as well. Best of luck!

Great question! You can open an account as a Sole Proprietor. You can also change it later if you switch to be an LLC in the future!

Here's a way you can fund this stupid card you can send the money through your business e-mail then you get a pop-up where you put your Novo card information in there, I just did it today, I wish i can do a vid on it, but it's so slow to upload (took more than 30 mins) so you can try it that way, Let me know how that worked for you.

Question, any particular reason why you chose Novo over Bluevine? I'm starting my business and I will be offering a consulting service. There will be no physical product or service to manage like an Airbnb, I will be the service so I guess expenses will be meals and possibly transportation/lodging but that's about it. Just curious on your take.

Hi! I did look at Bluevine as well, but Novo just seemed to work smoother for my needs which is pretty basic like yours. I like simplicity and that's what they offer.

Here's a question. PayPal does NOT recognize novo as a bank Then when you enter your novo routing & account# it sees it as middlesex Fed Savings ( the bank behind Novo) so the only open is to do the paypal manual verification by where they put in 2 small deposits to novo However it's been 3 business days so far nothing deposited. Is this normal or does it take longer?? Thanks in advance

I have Novo connected to my PayPal business account. I recall having to go through the same process. I believe the time is 3-5 business days. The small deposit should pop-up soon.

I had the Spark Business checking account and they are similar, but Novo seems to continue to innovate the app over time to help us small business owners. Both have no fees and good user interfaces.

This is the same question I was looking for. The comparison to Capital One because I already have a personal checking account with them so I thought it would be a whole lot easier for me to just go with them but I do want to consider Novo as well.

From experience: Do not do NOVO!! It’s a true headache off the jump… Terrible at customer service!Transferring funds is awful and a headache!And the bad reviews are back-to-back on the app’s reviews! 😭😭

It's a 4.8 on the app store. Appreciate your feedback. I never ran into those issues. Transferring fund in my experience has works well in the 1.5 years I've been using Novo. I can't speak on customer service as I have never needed it.

@@thebusinessnerdyt Try going to your App Store and look into the Most Critical reviews. There are so many bad reviews posted weekly over the past year. it’s so concerning. I’m left wondering if the company fake their reviews. I plan to report them to the Better Business Bureau today if I can. I’m glad you haven’t had a bad experience but for my experience I definitely closing my account and doing business elsewhere. I guess everything that’s too good comes with a catch. 😬

@@eduardodiazzarate9502 I just decided on going with a local bank. Even though they still have fees and rates, it was cheaper and easier to meet than the well known big banks. It’s also the fact that I can actually go in to a location and talk to someone with any issues I may have.

I can agree that they have the worst customer service. I was a victim of a fraud transaction trying to take all my funds and the novo customer service has been the worst. I have been trying to get access to my funds for over a month now and all they do is never respond back
