I just bought an EMG JW3 STI 2011 Combat Master GBB Hi-Capa, and it came with a scratched barrel and very loose components. I was very disappointed for how much it was. Hopefully, you get something in return because you were very helpful assisting me in getting my first airsoft gun. My field in Oregon, USA, limits us to 0.2 bbs at 350fps, so I hope the SSP5 5.1 works okay. Everything is indoor CQB, with the longest shot distance at about 40 meters. Also, the games only last 15-30 minutes at the most. I subscribed to your channel and followed you on Instagram as well. Keep up the great work!

So I imagine you will have the hop up almost off to shoot those bit give it a go. If you have it off so much they roll out of the barrel then maybe get a slightly worse bucking sounds hilarious but you get me.

Hey man so try skirmshop up based in norther Ireland you will have to get the 4.3 version as it is 1 joule. The others are over powered for Ireland. I use BLS or Geoff bbs you can get them at skirmshop also a actually! I'd recommend 0.32 gram bbs for the SSP5

Hey man all I did was buy a 6.04 crazy jet barrel that was about 40 cm shorter. So it was shorter and a bigger bore so that resulted in a reduced fps. However I have since put the orginal barrel back in and just hpa'd it so the regulator is turned down to h get under 1 joule and it is great 👍🏻

Sorry yes 40 mm not cm 😅 I am using 0.32 as the SSP5 was designed for 0.4g but you can use 0.28 grams no issue too. You just maximise range with heavier bbs is all

I was hoping my review would give you all the answers to be honest 😂. All jokes aside. Other than all the reasons I pointed out if your happy with your SSP1 then other than improved accuary and attachments there is no other reason to get tue SSP2. The SSP5 on the other hand is a different beast made for a very different play style and it's really not to be confused with a secondary it meant to be a primary! It performance is way up there.

They don't have an NPAS and I don't know if you can get them as low as 1 joule u kess you put a really short barrel in and use white low power gas bit it still may not be below 0.5 joules I am afraid. But you coukd HPA them and turn tye regulator down alright 👍🏻

Shmkirmshop can get them in but they have to be under 1 joule. So that's why the shorter barrels are onky available as they have less power. 4.3 is nicest anyway

I've been looking at a lot of info. Would you recommend the SSP5 for a Primary, with into consideration I want to use it OOB. I don't really care about the price tag, just want something that will be accurate and I can rely on that accuracy? I'm an Airsoft novice, played about 3 AR games, 1 Sniper, but all times my playstyle was more towards going into buildings and ambushing.

Yes it basically is branded and a primary weapon. If you hpa it so it runs consistently in all temperature ranges and shoot the recommend 0.4 g bbs you will destroy with this thing 🙂

I'm glad Novritsch is offering the different color parts however the stock of said parts is very hit or miss and to make things worse it annoys me that the colors don't match. Trust me I completely understand its very difficult to color match things, especially if all the parts are different materials but I think it is key to pay attention to that and try to color match as best as possible otherwise IMO it kills the customization aspect. It really kills the theme/cohesiveness when you try to do like all red or all purple and its like 3 or 4 different shades/hues. I would rather just keep it stock or at most change a single part for color pop.

Hey man, I do have a video on how to edit Airsoft youtube videos. You should look that up. it's a good starting place for a beginner. In general, you need two camera angles minimum to keep ot intresting a scope cam is essential. Other than that, make sure you switch at least every 10 seconds or sooner from one camera angle to the other to keep people engaged and intrested. 👍

It should last very well yes it is a hicappa also. It is still well made but just not as well made as the SSP5 which is definitely made of better materials but that's totally reflected in the two guns prices points.

I just think that you should understand, that ssp2 is the best airstoft pistol OUT OF THE BOX, if you don't understand tuning very well, you want ssp2 (which is way better than ssp5), but if you want the best, just buy some hi capa tokyo marui and tune it, it will be 2 times better than ssp2, tho will be much more expensive. one of the best picks is aap-1 or something like that, just search it and you'll se what I mean, it is great pistol and can be tuned and it is not expensive at all... but just so you know, I don't have any of these airsoft pistols, I just think I understand it from gameplays and reviews that are on youtube

I was looking into getting the 6 inch version of the SSP5 for use of HPA, as I'm from the UK and the limit is 350fps with 0.2's or 1.13 joules I was trying to figure out if I would need a lower power nozzle like yours or if I could just simply adjust the output of the HPA

I actually have all three the 6, 5.1 and the 4.3 tbh the 4.3 is just as good and is basically 1 joule. I use mine hpa'd so I can tune it down easy. However before I did that I just added a short inner barrel and got it down to under 1 joule but sacrificed accuary a little. Now that it's hpa'd I added in the orginal barrel again and it's a beast. If I was you I'd get the 4.3 tbh

The SSP2 for me hand no issues other than the saftey was too sensitive and turned on by accident but I fixed that. I would stick to the SSP5 it's on another world altogether performance wise

Hey man thanks. So basically all blow back airsoft pistols are loud. You see the noise isn't really mostly coming out the barrel it is the actual action of the gun the metal slide moving when fired that make the noise. The SSP5 and SSP2 are loud. The quietest blow back pistol would be the AAP01 by action army bit it's still not silent or close to it. Mainly because it's splatoc and the slide is mostly internal.

As a snioer 3 pistol mags are perfect. I wouldn't recommend it over it to be honest as parts in the aap01 usually break like the hammer set and need replacing with a steel hammer set eventually. The SSP5 comes with a steal hammer set. But if quietness is your main goal it would be quiter than the SSP5 is all.

Great video! I am quite sure that I will get the SSP2 just because it will work well as a sidearm, but do you think that it would work well for cqb as a primary? By cqb I don’t mean speedsoft I just mean basic cqb like Urban Assault or Inferno if you have been to that site, because the SSP5 seems quite out of my price range. It will work, but don't expect the same FPS as you would get with buying the actual SSP2 mags. I have tried tm MK23 mags in thr SSX23, TMG18 mags in thr SSP28 etc and they always worked but in most cases made thr Nov guns shoot a little below there normal fps.

I never knew that was even possible hiw did you know the seal was broken did it start leaking around the base plate? Be a use if that's what happened thats an easy fix man so don't throw the mags away.

I feel like that's sad that we have to repair these mags in the first place. I've purchased mags from Tokyo Mauri, Novritsch, Evike, and Matrix, all seals are equally poor designed. I've have a seal go out in the first day of game play... smh but sadly it's a part of airsoft.

Tey the boiling water fix. Fill it uo put it in a cup of boiling water and watch the bubbles stop as the metal expands under heat and the gap seals. Then give it a shot of silicon oil into the mag to lubricate the seals again and your sorted 🙂

I bought a morpheuse pistol barrel from Skirmshop Ireland that was shorter to bring the fps down. For some reason if you order the ssp5 to a friend in norther Ireland they will post it. But the new 4.3 one is less that 1 joule as it is a short barrel out of the box now.

Why do you change barrel for 1j límits? Isn't possible to play with lower pressure gas?

It was still over woth white gas. The barrel on the gun is 6.01 very tight and accurate and it long. So by getting a shorter wider bore bare like a 6.01 that's 30 mm shorter it pushed my velocity down getting me 1 joule. Longer barrel get more velocity basically. But i sacrificed the guns orginal accuracy a little in doing that.

Mine was like 1 4 joules but you shoukd chrino with the weight you use as jouke creep may mean your gun is shooting 1.4 joules with 0.36 g bbs which are the lightest bbs you should use in this gun. It was designed to shoot 0.4 g bbs actually.

Yiu can shoot 0.2g with these but it's made to shoot 0.4g as the hop up is well able to handle that weight. I ran my SSP 5 4.3 on 0.2g bbs indoors no issues

Mags and most parts yes. But the orginal mags work best in thr SSP2 for power

The SSP5 is a fat better performer to be honest but the SSP2 is great for the value and plus you can upgrade it anyway so its still a solid choice 👌

maybe.... Living in NJ, the SSP5 is nice etc.... but consider that you probably will have to add a monthly/bimonthly subscription for Blowback Housing + Rear Sight Set when using CO2 (I use 2x CO2 and 3Green gas). Since i mix it, idk why the internet does not report more of this, but this is what I have to get every other month since I've got the SSP5, I wish my comment got more "Likes" just so you are aware if you start the hobby just like me... I have 3 Airsoft pistols and 2 AEG's, which is my experience so far... I replaced it already once after like couple of weeks, but now the replacement I just mentioned fall apart again even after I added permanent threat lock to it... Be warned!!! I am from Switzerland, living now in the US, NJ, so my go to is European stuff, but in Airsoft so far, I've been disappointed.

I woukd personally stop us9ng c02 mags and switch to HPA C02 expands too fast and for the light slide in the SSP5 its teo violent HPA is less violent and will give you better more consistent shots. That's why most people use it on HPA. Green gas should be fine its not as harsh a gas

You can get it from Novritsch also he sells gas, c02 and hap options so you have all options yo choose from. I recommend c02 if your going to be playing in temperatures below 10 degrees C during the year.

The ssp2 is just a regular KJW Hi-Capa line, but the SSP5 is a completely different gun.

what's the maximum range of the SSP2 vs SSP5? there's a youtube vid of someone testing the SSP1 successfully hitting targets at 300ft or 91.4m

The SSP2 can reach targets of 70m flat trajectory with 0.32 gram bbs ar 1 joule the SSP5 can reach 80 meter flat with 0.4 g bbs flat trajectory if you aim over you could hit targets further no problem.

There are 3 versions. The SSP5 4.3 is 4.3 inches The SSP5 5.1 is 5.1 inches The SSP5 6.0 is 6 inches So basically it's in the name.

It can be shipped to Northeren Ireland I have a friend up there got it then down graded it to 1 joule. It's because it 1.5 joules so its over powered basically.

I often play ssp5 as my primary weapon even on the big field. Sometimes I use it as a sidearm and when I don't have range with the AEG I use the pistol xDDD
