About the tower in the Upper Gardens: Built in 1885 in the Gothic style, the tower was made to power a sprinkler system and fountain in the gardens. Today the entrance has been sealed and inside is a haven for bats as they roost here in safety. Originally the tower contained a water wheel which was removed during the war for armaments.

_And you’d think the Grim Tour of Bournemouth would include a stop at Char’s drag closet._ But showing that would likely cause KZbin to demonetise you, so I understand your hesitation and restraint. Love you girls. So glad we’re getting a follow up. I loved the first. 🖤

Brilliant, spooky and sad. FYI 50:38 I think they are crocuses. Crocuses signify that a beautiful Australian woman plagued by the trauma of StuffALoons roams these parks along with her coven of impaired witches, questioning whether a Folly is indeed a water tower or not.

Wow. This was SO well done. Great narration by all parties. These kind of videos with Char and now her girl are so fun to watch. You're also really respectful about the situation and this is like television level quality. Seriously. I would watch every episode of a series like this on your channel.

Wait, you guys can see how many times we've re-watched your videos?! Because it's actually quite alarming how many nights I choose to re-watch your old vids instead of starting something new! I think it's a bit of an anxiety coping mechanism, where I choose comfort and familiarity over the suspense of not knowing what's gonna happen. And also, your content is just that good that it's able to be enjoyed multiple times! Been looking forward to this one ❤

I think just from people commenting that they do (unless there's some hidden youtube feature!). I'm the same, I rewatch a select few youtubers, and before that it was movies/tv show episodes. it's definitely about anxiety and self-soothing for me.

If you are interested, it’s possible to petition the council to put a memorial plaque in the gardens for those who died in the tram crash. It’s something that should be remembered and made public

So happy for this sequel! American here, so I'm not sure how it works there, but I'd encourage you to check with your local historical society and look into how to get a memorial plaque, or at least a shrub, to honor those lost in the tragedy and preserve the town's history.

I'm late to the party but just want to say: I think it's really admirable how sensitive you are to those departed, and how you share their stories with accuracy, tact and respect. Also, I'm so sorry about the hate crime committed against you all those years ago. It gives me great inspiration and motivation to see you are still going strong, and how your "fame" has not affected your humility. Thanks for the great vid! Much love

brilliant addition to the first tour! a few stick out to me in particular. the little girl in the toy shop - how utterly disgusting and upsetting. I'm fascinated as to why there is such a lack of information. how does that one manage to fade in the cultural memory? and the sightings of the 4 figures, i'd love to know if there's any signifigance to that site in occult teachings, even going back to pagan times? the man flung to the bell tower from the explosion only being discovered by preying seagulls - what a visceral singular image that sums up the completely needless horror of war.

Just been doing some Googling and Jamie Devitt seems to have been sentenced to life which was served in Wakefield Prison and then he was transferred to Broadmoor where he apparently helped save The Yorkshire Ripper’s (Peter Sutcliffe’s) life when him and a fellow inmate heard him yelling after being strangled with headphone wire by another prisoner, he may still be there as Broadmoor Hospital is a high-security psychiatric hospital in Berkshire.

Absolutely loved this and went and watched the first one too x really interesting x my dad moved from Scotland to Bournemouth and lived in Poole for about 25yrs and it was always my fave place to be x he spent a small time in Boscome aswell in a flat between selling and buying a house x that flat was creepy as hell x I've heard a few of the stories from him and his friends there. The tram crash, the bombing and the ghosts in the park. It was great to see some familiar places and its on my to do list to go back. Unfortunately my dad passed away nearly 2 years ago but i would love to go back and visit some old haunts xx

Yes! Love the grim tours! I think that building looks like a folly, purely built to be decorative. If the gardens were originally private it's the type of thing aristos would stick in to give their estates a bit of character/provide a focal point.

I have just got around to watching this. On Halloween no less. Great video. As I grew up in Bournemouth in the 70s and 80s I found all the stories really interesting. Bournemouth was always made out to be such a genteel place back then, where people used to retire! Looks the murky underworld. I was actually visiting the war graves at Bournemouth crematorium a couple of weeks ago.

Regarding the murder of 15 year old Louise Baker.. i was her friend and close neighbour, she was actually snatched along southbourne rd by railway bridge, her murderer was renting a room along the road, he grabbed her as she walked back approx 9.30 pm and pulled her to the alleyway of the church where he tortured, abused & murdered her… sadly a then bournemouth football player was driving along the road and saw him and Louise struggling /screaming but apparently assumed it was a ‘lovers tiff’… Louise was a beautiful girl from a very close family ( who never recovered from what happened to their daughter) … no amount of suffering is enough for the vile sadistic murderer of her … Rip Louise 🌟
