you guys bringing up warrior in the intro is like a full circle moment because i remember that was the year me and my sister randomly put on eurovision having never watched it before and we became so obsessed with that one song for no reason. i genuinely can't remember any other songs from that year, I think i was like 12 at the time, and i didnt end up watching eurovision again until like 2021 but for whatever reason we were so obsessed with that song and ive never heard anyone else ever talk about it lmao.

I love how olympia described why she is drawn to girlbops. "i just find it so amusing" "it's so camp and it's kinda naff" sometimes you just need to have a bit of fun! i think a lot of us eurofans tend to forget that we are allowed to consider the songs outside of the competition aspect... if you like it, you will listen to it for long after the contest is finished regardless of where it places! (also thank you to olympia for mentioning sopho - visionary dream, one of my favourite eurovision songs of all time.)

Czechia's revamp is very minimal - the new ending is an improvement but the spoken argument need not be present outside of the music video. Aiko's problem was never the studio track - it's nailing that live vocal 💕

I saw one comment under the Georgia's video being like "too much Beyonce" and as a big fan at first I was like "it sounds nothing like Beyonce" but then I took a closer look at the music video alone and omg, they just cut out so many things from Beyonce's music videos - the dancing in the fire circle like in "Baby boy", the black dress that's straight up from "Beautiful liar", the red and gold outfit at the end that looks like is inspired by "Who run the world" and so on, there's so much of it and I just can't unsee it now 😅

What are you thoughts about the boycott of eurovision this year in support of Palestine. Along with the Isreal support from Moroccanoil as a sponsor of eurovision. Lots of people are choosing not to watch with Isreal still taking a place in this show but Russia were banned almost instantly. Love you guys x
