It is haunting. Partly due to the minor chord progression. I like it more upon each listen. Also, when played by a concert pianist, it sounds like something one of the great composers (Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, etc.) may have written.

Based on an old tape by John Lennon and some studio work in the 90ies with Paul, George and Ringo, the surviving two completed the work with newest technology this year. I have been listening to the Beatles Now And Then (with their new Video of it) a dozen times. Along with even a few reaction videos where people had tears listening to it. I didn't want this musical day to end. I then came here and there it was. What a wonderful rendition, and an emotional closing of this day for me it was. I'm 59 gonna be 60 in 4 days...As a teen / young adult I was self taught on guitars, bass guitars, drums, harmonica and does it pretty well. Even had a garage band where I was also the lead singer..I also wrote a few original songs too....Playing the piano was another instruments that I wanted to learn ( just to be decent at it ) but sadly never got to it, nor spend as much time on it like I should've...I can play the keyboard a bit, but I so wish I had taken more time and learn to play the piano...You're playing, which is so beautiful, have me regretting of a time when I could've played the piano too...Cheers..

When songs evoked emotion and were musical... and relatable. Can't stop listening. Beautiful. Haunting. I'm looking back at the distance between then and now. My first reaction was like when you look down from a great height in fear and realize how far down it is...in this case, how far back it is. I was thinking about all that has happened since I first heard the Beatles in the 1960s, and I felt all those emotions at once. Alot to process.
