I was blessed to see Stephen and his crew a couple of weeks ago. I almost didn't go becuase I'd had "one of those days" and just wanted to curl up in bed and feel sorry for myself. But I'd been looking forward to it for quite a while so I made myself get up and out the door and I am SO GLAD I did. Never have I felt so connected to God as I did that night, thank you all so much for your powerful message!

I am touched by your voice and your story.. I have chills hearing "Now I Know" for the first time just writing this comment. Your passion and love of Christ and his redemption in you is overwhelming... in an awesome way!! First time I heard your voice was a week ago, I've been struggling the past year with mental health challenges, relapsed in my addiction not to mention Covid 19 stress-related situations. Its been a lot, but God knows how stubborn I can be... he needed to teach me a lesson and make it known to me how much I need to SURRENDER to My God, Our Lord and Savior Jesus, The Holy Spirit.. What an unimaginable sacrifice, God have His one and only son, Lord Jesus who so selflessly obeyed His Father for a greater purpose.. I was not brought up in Church, since a child I've been aware of His presence though, the protection He provided, comfort I needed. Well.. I'm 37 (in March 2021), and I'm finally in a place of readiness, thirst, eager to learn and build upon this initial feeling I've felt all along. I'm growing an intimate personal relationship with Lord Jesus. It's indescribable, miraculous but hard to face the GUILT, remorse, sorrow that I feel so deep inside for all he suffered for my sins.. I so severely want to beg for me to go back and replace him upon the cross to take that pain away, for me to endure the punishment for my sins... it just isn't fair. Yet, I'm reading and told often that God is Just in all He does... why (if anyone could answer or relates in any way) should He alone have to bare that torture? I couldn't physically watch "Passion Of The Christ" my first attempt, but tried a second time and finished the movie, often having to turn my head... I feel it was beneficial to watch, yet it literally breaks my heart, that was 3 weeks ago and I still cry just thinking about being in his shoes!! I love the heart I was created with, its equipped with empathy, compassion and love for all yet.. I want to take pains away for others, especially when I am being given something in place of someone else's pain. I need a like minded person or again, anyone who is interested in sharing their thoughts to please do. I want to live for Him, Trust and share my Faith to others when He sees fit.. I NEED to SURRENDER. I need to come to terms with this realization of why I would deserve forgiveness of my sins and redemption of my mind, body and spirit. My children are still dealing and affected with the trickle effects of my addiction and recent relapse after 7 years. I'm afraid.. fearful but trying and willing to understand. I've been attending church since Sept. 2020, reached out to a few ladies plus the Pastor, attend the monthly women's fellowship, Bible study weekly plus privately (daily), each night there's a devotional my boyfriend and I have been reading (he grew up knowing the Lord and learning the Word and ways of Him, which has been helpful!), most days I am playing my Worship and Praise Playlist, to feel Him inside my heart and talking to him even if its mundane topics.. My morning worship time is my favorite, I enjoy taking some time alone for just Him and I, so once I get my youngest off to school or busy a few moments, I play one of my favorite Worship Songs and praise my love for Him teaching me, for being such a enduring, loving, loyal Father, I understand the Tough Love He had to use to get my attention.. The song "Come Jesus Come" spoke to me.. taught me! (I'm biblically neieve, a true newbie so long story short I didn't yet know of Him returning someday... I've not read Revelation yet, I'm learning..... ) No doubt, God is working through Stephen McWhirter to reach myself and many others who need Lord Jesus, Hope, Love and to learn there's a gift of eternal life available if they'll just listen... you're planting seeds Stephen, as well as participating in helping me maintain growth and watering my spiritual seed through your songs and your voice.. Truely a God given talent!! Thank you. Please pray for the still suffering addict, those that are clean but lost in working a recovery and those working diligently to maintain their recovery.. paving the path of Hope & Strength.. FREEDOM to overcome 🙏 May your songs continue to touch many and bring those who are left to surrender come to do so to humbly repent and ask for forgiveness from Him...
