California AB 1632 was updated in 2023 to require business, that sell goods to the public, to allow bathroom access to anyone that is lawfully on the premises. So as long at the storage facility sells tape or boxes or anything else like that, then they can't bar access to the bathroom, since you are lawfully on the premises.

I agree with you on the rent backs and also not using the facilities. Do they let the renters use the facilities? What is the difference if you rent it for 2 months or so or they rent it to another person? Is your money any different? Ridiculous!

@43:45 the propeller thing is an air freshener for the car air conditioner vent. It comes apart and you can soak a little porous tablet in whatever scent you want. I just like the spinners on my vents😊

I used to work for a very nice storage facility and we always let people working at the lockers to use our facilities. Sometimes we regretted it but for the most part people were respectful of our cleanliness. As you said, you’re providing them a service by cleaning out the locker. This locker is a very interesting one!

You can sell lighters now on what not ‼️As long as no fluid in them. Saw that on another channel, she collects the vintage table lighters. I think it is a recent change, she just mentioned it last week.

I worked for a major chain company. The only bathroom was in the loading dock area. The Higher ups would not let the customers use the restroom for insurance protection. There reply about this was that if customers fell or gets injured they could sue the company

I love the way you have fun while cleaning out a locker. That guy either used lighters a lot or collected them...but it didn't seem like many were worth much. All of the little gadgets and stuff are fun and I'm sure you're going to have fun looking all of them up. Looks like you're feeling a little better in this video. Take it easy though because pneumonia can get worse 29:45 when you start feeling better. I see what you're doing as a favor tothe storage company because you're paying them and cleaning out the locker. Like you said without youand other locker buyers they would have to hire someone or spend their time emptying the units without getting compensation. You're literally paying them to take out their trash because they would probably put anything they didn't want in a dumpster...then they're paying for the trash company to haul away large items. Keep doing you Jack....these companies don't want to admit you're doing them a service.

Disallowing bathroom access seems punitive; are there city/county/state regulations for this? I especially like watching you go through this kind of locker. Sorting as you go, making quick decisions about venue for selling, and your general knowledge about many different kinds of merchandise makes your videos fun and interesting. Maybe you could make a little compilation video or just photos to have on your phone of messy lockers you bought and how clean you leave them. It might help to advertise you are responsible in the service you proviode, to be able to rent the locker for a month to give you clean out time, and maybe get you bathroom priviledges.

Seeing all those little blow torch style lighters, my first thought was free-basing BUT - looking at so many of those wooden liquor boxes, I wonder if the lighters were used to put the burn finish on the boxes. The wooden liquor boxes are usually unfinished and if he knew someone who worked in a liquor store, he could've gotten the boxes cheap or free.

The canadian coins are the collection with the animals on the back that I believe may have been put out in the 60's maybe as part of the centennial collection . I have a set somewhere that were given to me when I was a baby. They should be mint in that plastic sleeve but I don't think they ever developed huge value.

In my country there is a law that every public place or company with a lot of customers must provide in the basics, that is water and a bathroom. It is considered very unfriendly to deny people to go to the bathroom. Also Locker Nuts, I think You provide a service to them aswell. Without You they would have to pay instead of getting paid for the locker.

I've used 2 different storage facilities in the past 2 years 1 great another awful that's midgaurd storage they give you a email to close your account then denied email so you keep getting frustrated and they keep billing you!! Stand clear of mid gaurd storage

Not only are the locker buyers providing a service cleaning out the unit, you are still a customer. Everyone should be treated like they are potential customers. Now, if they have had issues with buyers before, I can understand their issue, but still. Not everyone is to blame for the one or few bad apples.

If you’re working to get rid of their stuff you should be able to 1. Use the facilities 2. Rent it for a month if needed. Some of these units are PACKED AND YOU NEED TIME TO CLEAN OUT

Also, we loved renting self storage and it’s out even for a month. Some money is better than no money if I was 100% full me getting one month rent out of a customer that bought it out of an auction means I get another month rent add to facilities revenue. Some managers and owners don’t know how to do business the right way.

I can understand not wanting to rent back to you because they want to get a long term renter but I think it would be fair to say that you can rent back for two months. After two months you’re out. That gives you time to get it moved out, especially on the larger units.
